Working for almost ten years in Oracle Corporation, USA and delivering Customer Relationship Management products to market which involved unprecedented collaboration within and outside of Oracle has given me a perspective to understand the key elements inherent to deliver a project on budget and time.

After researching various other programs which can help me better understand the techniques for cost-effective management of projects, project management principles and methodology such as developing a project plan and scheduling resources, work breakdown structures, and project networks, and art and science of project risk, I am particularly interested in the Master of Science in Project Management, Online graduate program currently offered at Boston University.

My undergraduate studies were conducted at Mangalore University, India, where I obtained a distinction in Bachelor of Engineering. I am a committed and dedicated student, and I am proud of the consistently high academic standards I always managed to maintain throughout the entirety of my undergraduate studies. After graduation, I was involved in academic scientific project and written a technical paper which was awarded as State Award, Gold Medal by the Institution of Engineers, India. I now feel well prepared for the demands and rigors of advanced graduate study in my chosen Project Management field. Although my work has customarily involved extensive development responsibilities, I have also always enjoyed the challenge of generating project initiatives and then pursuing those initiatives to successful conclusion. I am now interested in seeking a project management position.

I believe that my work experience to date has afforded me a sound understanding of the key elements inherent to effective project management. I am not willing to dilute quality of work for the sake of expediency. My desire for quality is relentless. I am a goal orientated individual with a deep desire for self improvement which lead me achieve the Outstanding Contributor Awars for Oracle Corporation from consecutive last two years. I have no doubt I will excel in this program and continue to succeed in the professional arena. There are a lot of reasons why I chose to pursue pharmacy as my career and they all point to the most important reason: pharmacy is a great fit for my life and is something I have become increasingly passionate about. It started when I was researching careers with my parents and my dad suggested pharmacy and, simply put, it sparked my interest because at the time it was one of the few things I thought I would not hate doing. A healthcare career has always been where I put myself in the future, mainly because most of my family members are in the healthcare field. However, I have never been one that could directly help the wounded or deal with anything gory, but am very intrigued by the growing science of pharmacy. As I continue exploring pharmacy, the more I enjoy learning about it and feel like I could excel in this career.

I grew up in a household where education was seen as a form of self-improvement and empowerment. Being raised in rural Central California by two Filipino immigrants who had nothing more than a high school education, my family did not have an educated or intellectual history I could look up to. That is, until my mother decided to get a college education at the age of 45. I must have been in middle school at the time, before which the word “college” was never really spoken or talked about and I could honestly say I only had a vague idea of what it even was.
