Let us learn a lesson from a bird. Victory is not the legacy of the lazy man or the cowards. Success is not the fortune of the one who wants to rest all the time. The one who is pessimistic about his future will not take efforts, thinking that he never succeeds in life. If you feel inferior of yourself, you will never get success in your life. Try to put yourself forward to prove your greatness. Thinking inferior of yourself and if you fail to put yourself forward, how you can give chance to others to know how much of hidden potential you have. No one is a god to understand what great hidden potential you have in you. You may not be successful in the first attempt, but remember that every failure must teach you a lesson or give you a motivation …show more content…
Take every insult and every kind of humiliation you encounter in your life to prove yourself great. Do not get frustrated or aggravated when you meet with failure. We know that is the natural reaction of any human being. However, tell yourself that any kind of aggression will further damage my position in my life. Do not try to give excess to yourself saying I am weak in stature I am weak in health I am weak in this and that. You can have any weakness still you can succeed, if you are not weak in will power. You must have the will power to fight against all oddity of life. Success is the legacy of the optimist who believes that he/ she can win in life. How long you can put the blame on something. Do not pin up you hope on others; try to build up your hope on you and you only. You and your strength only, you and your will power only, you and your ability only, not even on your parents not even on your spouse not even on your children or brothers and sister or on your close friend even. But never fail to lose your hope in god. Believe even the omnipotent likes you to have hope on yourself, which is the free will He has given us. God can help those who has trust on himself and strives hard to come up in life . Do not try to receive anything from other and make yourself slave or a beggar. Try to have self –respect for yourself. If someone offers something out of love, accept it nothing wrong but always try to return something else for what you have received from others. Any kind of expectation from others may lead you to disappointment, irritation and that may even damage one’s relationship with others. I do not mean that you should avoid any kind of good human relationship or communication. I mean let not your
In Robert Waldinger’s What Makes a Good Life speech, he grabs the audience's attention by at the start of the speech by asking them a question, thus engaging them into what he about to say. The question is what makes they healthy and happy and where they would invest their time and energy as they go through life which is ultimately what his speech is about.
“Whether you come from a council estate or a country estate, your success will be determined by your own confidence and fortitude.” (Michelle Obama). From this quote we should learn that your success is up to you. You determine how successful you are not anyone else. This means you need to work hard in order to have a successful life and be a successful person. You and only you determine your
Though I had some strong points in my informative speech, I still feel there was a lot I could improve upon. I could not recognize any vocalized pauses but I noticed that at certain points of speech where I would transition from one point to another, I would push my glasses up. I don’t remember if this was because my glasses were actually slipping down or because I was nervous. Also, after watching my video, I found that in the beginning of the speech I was swaying a lot, but because I was standing behind the table it wasn’t that noticeable. The one major thing I would change is my choice to stand behind the table. It was something I did unconsciously and out of habit of usually speaking behind a podium, and I did not notice I did it until
...In conclusion, learn from your mistakes, remember what talents got you where you are today and success will eventually come along the way.
I would like to open with a quote from Charles Swindoll. It reads, “life is 10% of what happens and 90% of how you react to it.” I am a firm believer of this statement because there will always be things out of your control, but your reaction will always be up to you. As for the positive experiences, those are the ones you cherish most, but the negatives are what teach you the most. After listening to my speech, I want you to understand how both the positive and negative experiences in my life have benefitted me. I was able to develop significant skills and relationships through the major events in my life.
Throughout the years, I hardly believed in my capabilities in school and in achieving my ambitions. You see I am not one of those cool kids who blatantly don’t want to do anything, in fact, I was worse. When opportunities decides to knock on my doorstep, I simply decline hoping that luck doesn’t go my way. It is because I was afraid to change my status which I was already comfortable with my life. Now that I am more educated I’m seeing a different point of view, a different view of living, which is achieving great things in life and surpassing anything that may come my way. In my path towards a higher education I have passed obstacles such as injury, problems with self-esteem, and transportation.
During my demonstration speech, I was affected by my speech anxiety. Some of the viewable symptoms were the shaking of my hands and also the stuttering of speech. I was able to control myself and relax after I started getting into my information. I did use some of the suggested relaxation techniques to relieve my anxiety. Before I got up to speak I thought confident of myself to help give me courage and confidence.
To most of us, they say they can spot success at first glance. Generally by the car one drives or how one is dressed. Some might see it by how healthy or how happy one feels. Merriam Webster's Dictionary states that success is “the fact of getting wealth, respect, or fame.” If one where to adopt this definition of success, one might go on to living a life of materialism. This mindset is deceitful and will only reward you with short term happiness, like a drug addict searching for a quick fix. For one to be ultimately successful, one must be able to overcome hardships and possess qualities like integrity, pride and patience which no amount of money in the world could buy. These qualities will make anyone strive in most, if not all the difficult obstacles one must face in life.
Accomplishing your aim or purpose can be the true definition of success. You must want to achieve your goals at hand. You must want to earn everything. You really should put in the effort needed to become a successful person. Becoming a successful person requires you to be an extraordinary character. This means you have to be a very self-disciplined, competent, and trustworthy person. That allows you to become more trusted within the community and earn more respect. Learning from your mistakes is essential to your success. Every time you fail you become more knowledgeable on a subject. You can fail as many times as you want but eventually you will learn what is right from wrong. This will lead to you to become open minded and achieve success. You will have to put in the time and effort. Planning ahead allows you to have a schedule so you won’t be behind. If you have a plethora of skills, you will have a higher chance of success than other people. Skills allow you to qualify for certain positions and allow you to excel in what you need to. You can have time to achieve your goals and predict what else you need to do. Success can come in many ways including family, money, fame, respect, and achieving your goals. There are many ways to achieve success but these are only a few ways. Only you can decide who you want to be and determine your own goals. You’re the only person who can judge your
Throughout life we express ourselves through words. The way we present ourselves through speech says a lot about our character. The way one speaks to others can jeopardize the amount of respect and trust others have for them. From the way one pronounces a word to their posture can affect the way an audience interprets what is being said. Personally, I am not confident with my speaking skills at this point. I would like my audience to fully comprehend the concepts or facts that I would present to them. In order to do so I must improve my speaking skills I believe that a problem most people, including myself, have when giving speeches is facing an audience. Just looking out to an audience of a mere ten could get your knees knocking. I know it is important not to let your audience know that you are nervous because this could easily make them doubt what you are about to say. It is impossible to speak at ease without knowing what you are talking about. I guess the only way to ease this overwhelming anxiety when stepping up to the podium would be through thorough preparation.
Have you ever been beaten down by your own confidence? It is supposed to help you succeed, but instead, it once made me blinded from the fact that I am not perfect. There is always a chance of failure if I don’t try my best. In fact, I did fail getting into my dream high school.
Perfection is not within the realms of possibility, but I always knew if I aim for perfection, I could at least achieve excellence. This is the mantra I have followed in every walk of life. I have always learnt to appreciate everything I have taken up, thoroughly and to the fullest. In this competitive pace of life, I have learnt a lot from my experiences and I am still striving to learn more. I constantly challenged myself in an effort to develop a rational mindset and approach to problem solving.
Self-awareness is not about reading a book or attending a course. Self-awareness is a journey, and it takes practice. It’s like a muscle that becomes more effective with time and effort. It gives us mental strength as opposed to physical strength. We are constantly changing and adapting to the multiple external forces around us and to our individual experiences. The more we learn to be aware of, and understand, our reactions, thoughts, and emotions, while also keeping in mind our values, the more we can become the best we can be and the more successful we can become.
