1. On the Summer I 2015, I took PADM 6080 Organization Theory and Behavior with 3 credits. The class had 24 students, with 4 international students as participants. The professor mentioned some assignments and we had to read 5 books for some discussion in every class meeting. We had to present a book chapter in-front of the class then we discussed it. The instructor gave opportunity to the students to deliver their input related to exam method, because this class was so compact, since we met only 12 times for 6 weeks. He gave the students some books for free to read. 2. On the summer II 2015, I took BLS 5980 Independent Readings Course in Disability Services (4 credits) with Prof. James A. Leja in College of Health and Human Services. This course helped me a lot to collect earlier data and information for my final research. I had to read various reading materials from journals, books, and online resources as my research resources. After I read those reading materials, then we did some discussion for 2 hours every Tuesday and Thursday. I gathered numerous data and information, including some books that I will use for my research, I can contact some former Congress members who had role in the ADAAA 2008 and the ADA related to historical background to arrange the Acts. He told me that I can always visit him to have some discussions related to my research later. For PADM 6170 Intergovernmental and Inter-organizational Relations (3 credits) course, I took it in Battle Creek, different city with Kalamazoo. The instructor for this course was my advisor, since I can’t drive and there was no direct transportation, so for some meeting I went with him, and with two other students also from Indonesia.
