During my first year at Nazareth College, I feel that I have made an incredibly seamless transition to college life and I believe that this has everything to do with my Academic and College Success Class. Through such assignments such as the Identity and Goal Setting Assignment, the Myers-Briggs test, creating SMART goals, and defining our own success definitions have really helped me to grow into who I am, not only as an individual, but as a college student as well. I feel very comfortable with who I am at this point in my life, even though I am not entirely sure still who that is yet and I am incredibly excited to grow as a college student, daughter, sister, and friend. We did this assessment 2 way: Once in class to a video and then we chose which category we fit best into then again using a series of questions online. For both tests I found that I was ESFJ, which means Extrovert, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging. I think that scoring the same way on both tests shows a lot about my self-awareness as well as consistency with how I answered the questions. I was sure, when I was filling out the Myers-Briggs Personality Indicator online, that I would get something different than want I found in class, but I did not. I was really happy with myself that I scored the same way on both tests because it made me realize that I was more in tune with myself. I think this test really showed me a little bit more about myself than I ever thought about looking into as well as doing this in a way that is easy to understand. goals which is an acronym for specific, measurable, action, realistic, and time. Smart goals should be goals that are clear with a specific end result, may be measured and tracked, have specific actions that are necessary for the goal to be achieved, have a time limit and be a realistic goal for the individual. When referring to SMART goals, I made my goal to have a GPA of a 3.7 or higher by the end of the fall semester. My goal as a whole was to become more self-aware by practicing different strategies to assess and discover what learning style, learning habits, and thinking patterns work more effectively. To reach this goal, I said that I would, and I did, to begin work on an assignment on the day it was given out for at least 30 minutes, to make note cards on the notes taken that day every time I received notes, and that I would have all study materials for a test ready 3 days before the examination. I still have not received my final grade for any class, but I will know that I have achieved my goal when I have a 3.7 or higher GPA. I believe that every student should achieve, in one way or another, a piece of every student success definition, to assure that the student is well rounded. To achieve each of the student success definitions a student should use the S.M.A.R.T. goal method to guarantee that they will achieve success in each way possible. I do not know yet for sure if I have achieved my goal yet, but
