Each step in Kouzes and Posner book helped improved myself as a leader and also as a person. Before reading the book, I contradicted myself, didn’t take risk, nor did I show my appreciation of others hard work. Following a few of the commitment the book had to offer and finding a location to utilize it, I noticed the differences. When I was in the leadership club in high school, I felt you needed to have power, persuading ability, and take pride. Being the kid that enjoyed and all those factors, I noticed that wasn’t whom I wanted to become. It made me sensitive to every failure, lose confidence in oneself, and just all around reduce my ability to take risk. I once had to cut off going to the Lion King Play in Los Angeles because we were falling short of 400 dollars. I didn’t want to make the team disappointed and so I found an alternative where we watched our school school play The Little Shop of Horrors free. The production would’ve charged us for each person costing 15 dollars per person, but because I helped them before and I knew the production teacher at the time, they offered us front seats to the play. It wasn’t comparable to the elegant 75$ ticket play of The Lion King, but it
