The Spirit of Soccer “Beckam about to take a free kick from 30 yards out. If he scores this Manchester United would take the Champions League cup home. He steps back, takes the free kick and GOAL! What a beautiful free kick, the keeper does not move an inch”. These were the words I heard as a child when I watched my first soccer game. As I sat on the chair watching a sport very unfamiliar to me but still intriguing, I was quickly absorbed into the game feeling every moment as if I were there, calculating every pass as if I were a player and also cheering when a goal was scored as if I were a fan. After that game I realized that my love for the sport had grown more than I expected. I began to sit down with my dad every Saturday and Sunday watching
