Personal Narrative: My First College Football

My first college football is a season I’d never forget. I broke so many records, I got my first college touchdown, and I met some new people and made friends that I know I’d remember forever. I graduated from Seminole high school in the spring of 2014 I was supposed to attend the College of the Redwoods in Eureka, California in the fall of 2014 but things happened so I had to go in the spring of 2015. Before I went up there I was working at Walmart trying to save money and working getting my body physically right and getting myself mentally prepared because I never been away from home so it was an experience for me going all the way across the country. This will be the first time being away from family, friends, and my son that was just born 2 weeks after I graduated high school. When I got to California in the spring of 2015 it was an amazing experience just being across the country seeing new things. When I got there and finally got settled in we had a team meeting and we had to introduce ourselves to the whole team. In the whole spring we just worked out and the coaches put us on a meal plan I was 185lbs when I got there, and then when I left I was 215lbs. I made 1st team all-state honors in California and I made 1st team all-conference I was the first in College of the Redwoods history to do so. I have 3 scholarship offers to Marshall University, Portland State University, and Bemidji State University. There all good schools but I’m waiting to get more before I commit to a school and I want to go on visits to these schools but I’m just going to wait and see what happens.
