Personal Narrative: My First Car

Narrative Essay A year and a half ago I had saved up $5,000 from working with my dad and all this money was going towards my very first car. If my love for cars wasn't so big then this would've been a whole lot easier. The search and decision was one of the toughest decisions in my life to this day which included stressful Craigslist searching, annoying inspections and lots of time, not only for me but my dad also. After working for with dad’s construction company for about 2 summer breaks and 2 winter breaks, I had finally saved up $5,000 which my dad told was good enough to purchase my very first car. I had looked into several cars that would cost around my budget but I have never searched for cars that were actually available in my area. The search would've been quick if I didn't fall in love with every aspect of a car. The summer of 2012 was when my cousin got a Mustang GT Bullitt, I didn't think much of it until he took me for a drive around his rural Aurora neighborhood. He came to a …show more content…

Once we got there we greeted my aunt and cousins, my uncle was still at working at the time. After we greeted everyone and had a small talk, my dad asked if it was fine if we looked at the car and she had said yes and led us to the backyard. The car was a black 2006 Acura TL with black interior, the day was rainy and the car had droplets from the rain so It was difficult to look for flaws around the exterior, i sat in the car and it was clean all around with the exception of a small dent on the roof, which wasn't a big deal. At first I wasn't really a big fan of it until I started doing research on them and the whole TL community, there's a cult following for this car and especially this generation.
