The most stressful and challenging situation was during my volunteering in the Rehab unit at the hospital. I was assigned to help a student therapist in assisting a patient in walking. The Patient was overweight and it usually takes more than two people when assisting the patient in walking but the therapist and the patient felt confidant enough that she would be able to walk without much help. When the therapist and I began to assist her in standing the patients knees buckled under her and she fell and began screaming in pain. The combined strength of the therapist and I were not enough to help get up and the only thing we were able to do was straighten out her legs and comfort her until more help came. I felt really bad what happen but
I have volunteered at the Salvation Army and have had some wonderful experiences there. For the past years I have been involved in helping children with their homework and I have read books to them. It feels really good when you see the children face expression when they finally get something it is a really good experience. The YMCA is another place I have volunteered, during my volunteering moments at the YMCA I felt like I helped the community so much. During the YMCA we had a chance to volunteer with the children’s hospital to take pictures around the community and write about what it affects us on. This was a great experience because it gave me a chance to speak up not only for me but for other people that probably think the same.

Throughout most of my college career my professors have trusted me to coordinate events for the department, many of which were to raise money for the students scholarship fund as well as raising money to invest in a new building that would promote a greater educational experience for the students for years to come. This position required great customer service and ability to lead a team of 10-50 volunteers. I would love to bring my customer service and leadership skills to a position with your company.
I find myself extremely passionate in Community Service, I have volunteered at Emmanuel Apostolic Church during Vacation Bible School for the past two summers, preparing food, coming up with creative ideas to keep children occupied, and making sure children are safe. During this time my leadership and conversational skills have strengthened. In addition to that, I have also volunteered there on numerous occasions to feed the homeless. In high school, I also volunteered at an Elderly home on bingo night to interact with the elderly, gave a listening ear, it was extremely rewarding to see them smile, laugh, and interact with me as if they had known me for a while; that showed me how much they appreciate having company. I take huge delight in
Nonprofit organizations are consistently looking for competent individuals who are dedicated to volunteering their time for the good of the organization they serve. Finding the right fit can often times be a difficult task. The best fit includes an individual who is interested in the organization
I recognize myself very energetic and social. I always give my true opinions about someone else’s work, but create an idea that can benefit them. And I am extremely persuasive over any subject I am passionate about. I would be a good fit for a public relations and fundraising manager because I am very social, I am recognized as a leader, and I am a bilingual individual.
Have job related experience such as working in a games environment, managing volunteer programs, leading terms and organizations
I remember the last time I was sick and how it interfered with my daily activities. My day started as usual, I ate breakfast and got dressed for work. I arrived at work and went about my usual customer service duties. By mid-morning, I remember feeling dizzy, hot and a bit nauseous. I took two Advil hoping to get rid of whatever bug I had picked up. Unfortunately, the Advil did not help. Not feeling any better, I had to leave work early. The customer service calls I couldn’t complete were given to my coworker. By the time I arrived home, I was coughing, sneezing, and fighting the strong urge to vomit. Even though I was not feeling well, I still had to make dinner for my son and feed our two cats. I wanted to cook chicken with onions and peppers
I have a bachelor's degree in management studies from the University of Maryland (UMUC). I have a master's degree in human services from Capella University.
My work as an activist involves advocacy, research and implementation of community projects that are targeted towards the groups I advocate for, who are: Women, the youth, children and minority groups that are marginalized. Most of the work I do among these groups are informed by research and active involvement in groups that already exist in the community or ones that I have founded myself. The issues I am mostly involved in are for women, the improvement of their status relative to men; for children and the youth, it is education, community involvement, leadership, responsible citizenship and relations between men and women. To deliver to these groups, I do a lot of writing which is both fiction and non-fiction.
During my time at school, I was presented the wonderful opportunity with some of my classmates to attend a trip to an Indigenous community in Far North Queensland, to help serve, teach the children and provide basic care. This life-changing trip has fuelled my desire to help people, whether it is in an overseas context or in my community. As a result, I decided to take a step into being more involved in the wider school community as a youth leader. This consisted of developing leadership skills and a safe environment where other adolescents can connect with one another. Furthermore, it revealed to me that whilst my goal was to help others, I learnt that in a bidirectional partnership it requires the attributes of being humble and the eagerness
