Do you enjoy riding your bike? The feel of the wind blowing on your face, the shifting of the gears, the exhilarating feeling. Don’t you love that? Back in 1st grade, I learned how to ride my bike, and I’m so glad I did. At first, I was really nervous; mostly, because I didn’t want to crash. In fact, the first time I tried writing without training wheels, I crashed right into the
...t as the sport’s popularity grows, so does the pool for potential daredevils. Physics is a key instrument in the overall success of the sport. I've been four wheeling since I was about three. Id say its pretty fun when you're not busy crashing. My favorite thing about four wheeling is having the wind blow in my face, it makes me feel free in a way. When i'm with my family four wheeling nothing can stop us so you better watch out. My best experience while riding a four wheeler was when I was about nine my grandpa and my four year old sister were together on one four wheeler and I was on my own we were riding down the road when my grandpa said “ Aryona do you want to go down there?” i was a little scared at first, but he told me it would be okay, so i said “yes.” Once we got down there I was happy I decided to go because It was awesome! One of my favorite things about
There I was standing on the hill. Hands gripped to my skateboard in fear. My friend staring at the road to warn me of cars. I set my skateboard down on the newly paved road and started down the hill flying past the trees and houses. Until I saw it, the line of cars heading my way. My legs and board shaking. I fall and summersalt down the hill. I stop myself and crawl into the wet grass. I grab my board, hands shaking and scratched. I lay on my back, head throbbing in pain, knees gushing blood, and clothes ripped. I close my eyes because of embarrassment and anger. The feeling in my chest I couldn’t comprehend. It was a feeling of hurt, I had failed at my favorite thing in the world and I never wanted to feel that again. That day I decided to turn my failure into success by practicing and accepting my family’s teaching me to never give up.
This past Friday, we went on our second and final bike trip of our middle school lives. We got to school Friday morning after everyone had dropped off their bikes across the street, and everyone was super excited to leave. After a patriot time that seemed to take forever, we went outside and were escorted across the street by a police officer. I was going to be biking part of the way with with Maddie, part with Mirjana, part with Lola, and part with Hailey.
(f)(u) For our purposes, while a bike is coasting, the only things besides pedaling that can affect its speed are the force of friction from the brakes and gravity.
When I was younger I was not so smart and would do questionable stuff all the time. I would jump from boulders to other boulders, climb on top of chairs, and even try killing snakes I would find in our yard. One day I learned a lesson from going on one of my self proclaimed adventures with a good friend.
I was riding along one day, and like a cat pouncing on a mouse, it hits me and I suddenly realize that I am going to feel some pain. One of my wheels came off, I jerked, flew through the air, then landed on the street, all because the only day I took the time to check my wheels was the day I received the board. I can remember the first time I learned how to check and fix a skateboard.
He spoke about the difficulty in reconciling the two sides of him. This is particularly a challenge for men who may be viewed as weak if they say they are in pain. The term “rapid cycling” was depicted in the video through the portrayal of spinning visuals (SomewhatSane Productions, 2012). Text floated across the screen as these visuals were in use, and included the words “Feels like spinning,” “Outcast,” “Mania is unpredictable” and “Racing Mind.” Additionally, the film included the line “I can’t move, until I’m moving too fast,” which I felt especially captured the experience of BD.
Each new rotation gave me more confidence in the churning machine. Every ascent left me elated that I had survived the previous death-defying fall. When another nerve-wracking climb failed to follow the last exhilarating descent and the ride was over, I knew I was hooked.
Cycling is packed with adventure, skill, speed, daring, quick thinking and sometimes teamwork to make it one of the best recreational sports in the modern world. Whether younger or older, smaller or bigger, weaker or stronger, cycling is a sport for everyone. A bicycle can ridden by children on the street, aggressive riders on the mountains, or people who enjoy a more steady speed on the road. No matter what kind, the average bicycle consists of a frame, two wheels with tires, brakes, pedals, a chain, a fork (rigid or suspension), a seat and handlebars. There may be components that are upgraded or changed depending on the kind of bike and riding one is doing. The aggressive rider's morning would often most likely be spent riding with some friends and finishing up with a beer, much like the description below.
Since that camping trip long ago, biking hadn’t been a big interest for me. I enjoyed it from time to time when nice outside or when I was with my siblings, but I had never thought of it as anything more than an activity. My view of biking had stayed that way for years, but it changed when I met my boyfriend Gabe. He had a passion for two wheeled vehicles from flashy motorcycles to simple mountain bikes. Biking was a h...
Many people in their childhood want to ride a bicycle. The first step for any child is to learn how to use a tricycle. I can still remember when I rode my first tricycle as if it happened yesterday. However, it was actually 23 years age this day is a very memorable day to me because I learned a significant lesson, and I cannot forget it; I thought it would be the proudest moment young five-year- old life. Moreover, I was so excited, but at the same time I was frightened to death that I could lose my balance topple over, and hurt myself. My sister Sanae and best friend was also riding her tricycle with me. She was younger, but proved to be smarter.
