Bicycling for Me
Bicycling was an exciting experience for two reasons. First, it has allowed me to travel around the city. Second, it gives me a chance to hang out with my friends. I love bicycling, I think it is fabulous! I can now observe my city, the people that lived there, the architecture, and the trees and animals, etc. Sometimes in our life, we just need to slow down our pace. We're so used to rushing through life that we don't even know what we have missed, but It's hard to blame ourselves because we're busy about our jobs especially when we were living in the city. I was once like that; I head right straight to school when it's time for school. As I walk I would only stare at my watch instead if looking to my left and/ or right.
I started riding with a Therapeutic Horseback riding program called “One Step at a Time.” I started riding because I enjoyed watching my sister ride, and it seemed challenging and fun. Jo Wood was my riding instructor. Working with horses helped to increase my self-confidence, and self-esteem. I also developed better relationships with people. I improved my social skills as well as riding. I also found a connection with an amazing animal that was very forgiving. Horseback riding became my passion. I rode with Jo for seven years. I participated in the Special Olympics, for Bucks County. Everyone at the Special Olympics has some type of disability, and find joy in doing what they love. The smiles are like nothing you can imagine. It just opens your heart up to people.
I love riding four wheelers. I also love to adventure so I guess you could say my character trait is being adventurous. I’ve been riding my whole life, you think I’m kidding but my mom even rode four wheelers when she was pregnant with me so yeah. I got my very first four wheeler when I was three and I rode it till I was nine, but then I wanted to ride with the big boys or girls or whatever. When I was ten I got Yamaha blaster two hundred. It was my first manual transmission four wheeler. It was also a fixer upper, so I restored it to original condition and learned valuable knowledge along the way. The thing that brings me the greatest joy is physical activity. I love outdoor sports and working out in the gym. During my school years I actively took part in football and basketball competitions, and then with the growing awareness about fitness and general health turned towards the gym. Working out in the gym proves to be a stress buster for me, provides me with increased energy levels and gives me enhanced confidence. This helps me to focus more clearly and bring situational awareness to all my endeavors. Have you ever had to make some kind of choice in life, that resulted in something significant? Hannah is a 14-year-old girl who moves in with her aunt, Tante, Rose. Hannah is an aspiring pianist with an enormous amount of talent who is taught by Tante Rose. Her dream is to be a pianist like Tante Rose. At first, Hannah chooses to obey her aunt.
The perceived freedom in this activity was that participants could choose what want to do during the race to run, walk, listen to the music or enjoy the fall season views. The intrinsic motivation of this event was to help those who are in need and experience the 5k run with my friends. Moreover, I feel that this experience benefited me physically, mentally and socially. The 5K run is a good exercise which could help me lose some weights and build muscles and strength on my legs. Participating in this event, I feel happy because I can help people and can interact with friends and the local community. I felt happy and relax even though it took me 43 minutes to finish because this was the first year and my purpose was just enjoy and experience the event but I will definitely come back next year with some pre-training and compete myself with an improved and faster running

Whenever I have free time I like to ride my bike, specifically BMX. BMX to the world is an action sport such as skateboarding, although I believe it's a lifestyle not just a hobby. The stereotypes of the BMX community are very false. They believe we are wild, careless about others and their well being, and just want to destroy property. I grew up playing soccer, football, and basketball like just about any other kid my age. I played these sports until about 7-8th grade and throughout that time I could tell that these sports don't have the same kind of community
It was November 5th, 2013 – it was my cross country league meet. I was running the hardest, the fastest, and with more intensity than I have ran with the first three years of my cross country career combined. It was the hardest course in Michigan, but it seemed easy to me as I practiced on it every other day. The competition was at least thirty seconds behind me as the three-story hill was too big of a challenge for them. The screams and cheering of the crowd fueled my adrenaline and I hit my runner’s high. I had tackled the hill for the final time and the crowd was screaming louder than I have ever heard, which caused me to power up the hill, then I stopped in my tracks. I realized what they were screaming about. There was someone, or something, hunched over my coach’s body. It looked human, but there was something off about the figure. The “thing” turned around and looked at me. It was pale, fit, had red eyes, and was covered in my coach’s blood and intestines. My heart stopped. What the hell? Then, I ran. It chased me. I didn’t have time to think about where I was going or what I had just seen, I just ran as fast as I could and as far as I could get. I've been four wheeling since I was about three. Id say its pretty fun when you're not busy crashing. My favorite thing about four wheeling is having the wind blow in my face, it makes me feel free in a way. When i'm with my family four wheeling nothing can stop us so you better watch out. My best experience while riding a four wheeler was when I was about nine my grandpa and my four year old sister were together on one four wheeler and I was on my own we were riding down the road when my grandpa said “ Aryona do you want to go down there?” i was a little scared at first, but he told me it would be okay, so i said “yes.” Once we got down there I was happy I decided to go because It was awesome! I was so excited to start my new journey in school. I knew that being involved in a sport was going to help me become more confident. Running has taught me how to achieve my goals, be tough; both physically and mentally, and appreciate life. The first week of cross country was difficult.
My dream career would be owning and operation my own therapeutic riding center for disabled children and veterans. I would allow those with emotional, mental or physical disabilities into my program. Together we would increase their physical, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive abilities. Studies have shown that horse back riding is the only exercise that gives riders the swinging motion that is very similar to that of walking. Therefore it develops core muscles and soothes the mind because it can be strenuous and relaxing at the same time. I have seen the results first hand and it makes all the effort put in worthwhile. If nothing else, it gives the kids tremendous confidence. This would be my perfect situation, sadly that is just not realistic.
I have loved being out and in nature for as long as I can remember. I specifically enjoy the isolation of nature. Hiking and backpacking is the best way possible to get away from crowds and people, and simplify life. This perk of hiking has made it into one of my great passions. Over many years, I have been improving on my wanderlust to become a more effective, and safe outdoorsman.
We finish what we start. This was the motto that kept me going during the strenuous training period for a marathon. But prior to that, I must confess, I wasn’t an athlete. I was never interested in playing sports, except for recreational badminton. During gym class, I would walk three quarters of the time when it time for the dreaded mile run. I preferred staying indoors and sitting on the couch and watch movies. The first time I had heard about a marathon training program, called Dreamfar, in my school, I thought to myself, what kind of crazy person would want to run a marathon? Never did I realize, eight months later, I would be that crazy person.
