In psychological terms Motivation is defined as a feature that induces an organism to act towards a desired goal and elicits certain goal-directed behaviors (Motivation, n.d.). Simply put motivation is nothing but a desire for us to want something to be better than it is now and is the very reason for us to engage in a particular behavior. For example hunger is a motivation that induces a desire in us to eat and by eating we have achieved success over hunger. Motivation is the driving force for many of us take a step towards achieving something that we desire and is the basis for any success that we want in life.
I have often wondered what motivates me to get up every morning and start my day. For this I give the reason that if I don’t, then I will be farther away from achieving my goal of being a successful career woman and a successful homemaker. For my own personal satisfaction and sense of achievement I want to get back to the career that I left behind a few years ago.
