Goals are the ones to be proud of because we are accomplishing them every day you just do not realize it.
My goal is to receive only honor roll grades and participating in additional clubs and activities. When I achieve this goal by putting my mind to it, I can even see myself becoming one of the highest ranked students in my class. I am very proud of myself this semester and can say for myself that I have improved but there are some things I wish I did better. I should of worked just a little harder at getting my work done every night and instead of constantly getting distracted by the things around me, I should of focused only on study for my
I set goals for myself all the time in many different aspects of my life. This experience was different because I don’t always take the time to write out goals. Taking this extra step allows you to plan for success despite barriers that may arise due to your environment or social systems. As a social worker I will be better equipped to empower others in goal setting and planning after going through the planning myself. Being aware of how social systems and the environment affect goal setting will allow me the ability to view client’s situations through an ecological lens, while empowering them in the goal setting and planning
I feel a bit lost if I do not need to go to school weekly, and I cannot believe that only 4 credits short of finishing my MSA degree. I have been enjoying the learning process that enables me to interact with professors and my classmates for the past year and a half. This is one of the milestones that encourage me continually keep my hard efforts to reach my goal, being a CPA. To be clear, my goal has never been changed. I have been paying massive action toward to the CPA exams. I am currently working for a small tax firm which allows me to learn the tax knowledge the most. One of my short term goal that I set a lot in school is getting my homework assignment done in the twenty minutes the teacher gave us to work on it in class. To accomplish that I get in the zone and focus to get the homework assignment finished in the time limit. I also set goals that are short-term but have a long lasting effect. One goal like that is that I have tried eating healthier and drink less pop. The way I accomplished this goal was by having my own recipes to make something really good with healthy food so it is better for me. I try not to overload myself with too many short term goals because they could get confusing in my head with me striving for too many different things I would be out of time. These goals are important to me because I want to succeed in life not just go through all the motions I see some people in my life doing. After I graduate college I want to get a job that pays well so I could make sure my mom and my grandparents won’t have to work
Goals are an important part of life. For me, they provide direction, stability, and motivation. I have always been keen to setting goals in my life, long-term and short-term. There have been times where I simply gave up on setting goals because when they would turn out different than I had expected I became a little discouraged. As I have aged a bit more, I acknowledge and understand that this is part of the goal setting/planning and action process. Lately, I have pushed some more short-term goals aside simply because of time restraints, and tiredness. However, I want to make some changes not only for myself, but also for my family. In this paper I will present two objectives and three tasks associated with meeting those objectives. I will do these objectives and tasks for two weeks. Finally, I will measure the success and the outcome from these objectives and tasks at the end.
I have always been a straight A student, so my number one academic goal is to maintain that streak all though college. Another goal of mine is to finish my core classes early so I can have a bump free senior year. By taking Dual credit and classes throughout the summer I can reduce my workload later on in the future. A third major goal of mine is to be accepted into the Andy Dekaney National Honors Society. As an active member of the NHS I can become more outgoing and have a chance to give back to the
After doing the developmental plan of my personal goal, I felt that this was an eye opener for me. I always have a plan just like a bucket list, but went I started writing out each topic of my personal goals and thought everything out it gave me a clear vision of what my goal really meant to me. It's going to take a lot of hard work and dedication to finish my goal. The strategies that need to be used according to the Walden University vision and mission statement you have to know your mission in becoming a mental health counselor and what how far you are willing to go. Many issues and problems emerge in organizations that require action by leadership in order to maximize productivity. Because numerous decisions are made on any given day in an attempt for a school or organization to operate as smoothly as possible, constant effort and energy is required to monitor an organization’s culture. A problematic situation in my current organization that is rooted in employee motivation and attitudes is the lack of satisfaction communicated by group members. A year ago, the organization participated in a culture assessment that was conducted by the Kentucky School Boards Association (KSBA). This audit was ordered by our executive director because of the displeasure and dissatisfaction employees were communicating and displaying while at work. The
Goal setting is one of the most needed abilities in life. It is what keeps a person motivated to reach a certain checkpoint throughout their lifetime. I have found myself to practice goal setting in sports, school, work, and my future. For example, I set the goal to earn all A’s in my courses and earn a medal in track and field by st...
Everyone makes goals in their life but not everyone makes plans on how they will achieve their goals. As explained before, goal-settings are not just important for educational reasons but also for disabilities, career projects, and even weight-loss goals. Being open about your goal and goal-setting through compensatory beliefs is an easier way to achieve your goal since you are not setting yourself with boundaries and strict rules. Although believing too much on compensatory beliefs can make you go off track with your goal for not limiting yourself, you should always stay focus on your goal and what you have to go through to achieve it. Reviewing your process of achieving our goal is another important step because it will help you learn what you did wrong or good and what you can do better next time for a different or similar goal. For the teensReach program, goal-setting is something that they prefer to plan instead of just doing volunteering work and hoping to one day become an advocate or advisor for adolescents. Planning out your path to achieve your goal is the best and fastest way to achieving your goal
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...
Setting goals is the most important thing you can do in your life. Without goal's you are going to have no direction, no ambition to be successful, no drive to stay in school, and trouble finding a career that will provide for you. Without these three things, achieving your goals is going to be one of the toughest tasks in the years to come.
Out of everything that we 've learned this quarter, goal setting was something that stood out to me. There are a few times where I set a goal in my head but end up never achieving them, wether it was something very simple or more of a long term goal. A technique that stood out to me in our notes is, writing down your goals. I don 't I 've ever written down a single goal that I 've had. In class and in our notes we talked about how it is important to write down your goals and how you cannot just write the general idea of your goal, but how you need to be very specific in what it is you want to achieve. I think that in college it 's very important to set long, mid, and short term goals because somedays will be harder than others and you need
In setting a goal, you set up a grand goal and then you break it down into smaller goals. This helps you to further monitor your progress on a smaller scale and helps you stay motivated and focused because each time you achieve one of the smaller goals, it keeps you inspired to achieve the grand goal. Set goals that are definite with a well-known target to achieve, always giving yourself a specific time-stamped to achieve your goals. However, ensure that your goals and time lines set are realistic otherwise you will end frustrated chasing castles in the
