Personal Essay: How You Should Never Give Up On Your Life

During my 9th grade year, I’ve learned that sometimes in life you won’t succeed, but you should never give up on your dreams. Towards the end of fall semester, our teacher Mrs. Ellis assigns us a topic about how something affects our life. I couldn’t figure out how to write a personal topic like that, so I went online and search for guidance, or ideas about the topic Mrs. Ellis assigned for the class. There was an essay written by a guy named Andrew, that I stumbled upon. He wrote a paper over the outcome of life and how life can change unexpectedly, now before I read the paper I imagined that a good life was easy to achieve as long as that person works hard. I and my friends had a goal in mind, it was to make the twelfth grade the best year yet. Through it all we did, every school event we’d have a blast dancing, making jokes, and living in the moment. Not once did I try to predict the future for the reason that, I wanted to cherish the best moments with my buds before college. There was this one time in twelfth grade did I have this difficult choice, it was choosing which college I would attend and, when it comes to myself personally I suck at making decisions. I then figured out that, I won’t know if I like it unless I try it, and that is what makes life unpredictable for, you can’t know what path to take in the future unless you try it out yourself personally. I took some advice from my family and friends, and thanks to their advice I went with my guts and choose OSU. Andrew stated that life was like a maze with unlimited outcomes, one step can change this or that about you. He also said when difficult times are upon us some people tend to break down and succumb to pressure. Andrew says that everyone has struggle with life one way or another, and it’s how we deal with those challenges that make life so important. In the essay there was some reliable advice about life, like to cherish the little moments, take things in for granted, and family always comes
