James Paul McCartney born in Liverpool England at Walton Hospital on June 18, 1942. His father Jim worked in the cotton trade and played the trumpet,and a piano in ragtime bands. His mother Mary worked as a midwife. Paul went to Stockton Wood Road primary school, then as he got older he attended Joseph Williams junior high school. Before passing his 11 plus in 1953, and gaining a place in Liverpool Institute.
That upcoming year while he was traveling on a bus to the institute he met George Harrison who was also a student there. Then in 1955 the McCartneys Forthlin Road, which was a council house in the Allerton district of Liverpool, and they paid 1 pound and 6 shillings which is about one dollar and six cents in the United States, that was quite a bit of money back then. The National Trust bought the house in 1995 and is now a popular tour destination, back in the 1920’s it was an unassuming terraced house that was built by the local authority.
Mary McCartney died of an embolism October 31, 1956 following a mastectomy family was shook by Mary’s death, and caused a land between Paul McCartney and John Lennon , because he love is mother in 1958.
Jim McCartney was a musician who had been the leader of Jim Mac’s Jazz Band in the 1920’s. On 20 Forthlin Road there was a piano that Jim bought from Henry Epsteins NEMS store that was in the first room. which Brian Epstein later took over. Jim encouraged Paul McCartney and his brother to be musical, he gave Paul McCartney a trumpet after the death of his mother. Paul McCartney swapped his trumpet for a £1, his famous zenith acoustic guitar when skiffle was a national rage. Paul McCartney agree with the rest of the band and decided to make their wishes come true by not touring. Paul McCartney had to make an effort to keep the group together due to the death of Brian Epstein. Paul McCartney succeeded to at making the Magical Mystery Tour movie and album. he had also tried to get the other members to agree to one more tour in 1969, and John Lennon said “ I think you’re mad.” Although they played the celebrated rooftop gig on top of the Apple offices, and it was filmed as part of the Let It Be project. Paul McCartney led the band throughout their last album called Abbey Road, and it was released after Let It Be in 1969. Paul was not happy about Phil Spectors creation with the album Let It Be.
