Some of us might not know the actual definition of terrorism. This is the definition of terrorism; is the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims. This might be the definition of terrorism, but the single story of terrorists consists the fact that they are all Muslims people. Therefore everyone has stereotypes about Muslims. However “Danger of a Single Story” by Chimamda Adiche is the proof that stereotypes are very dangerous. Adichie talks about how single stories have the power of leading people to stereotypes to the stories told by others. In particular Paradise Now directed by Hany Abu-Assad emphasizes the single of Muslim people by showing the negative side of them. Paradise Now is a film about two Palestinian residents Said and Khaled who are given a duty to be suicide bombers and bomb the neighbor country Israel. In contrast Paradise Now conveys audience to believe and accept the single story of Muslims people as terrorists, however this not the single story of Muslim people.
As has been said Paradise Now is a film about two guys Said and Khaled who live in Palestine. They work at motor mechanic, however Khaled gets fired because he doesn’t get along with his co-workers. Jamal is the guy who is behind this mission. He asked Khaled and Said to be suicide bombers. Despite that they both volunteer to be suicide bombers. After all they prepare them for the operation. Their mission is to bomb the neighbor country Israel. They get ready for the mission by getting them shaved, bathed and they dress them nicely. In order to make them look like Israeli people. Equally important the girl named Suha, who is the daughter of well-known suicide bomber. Has some love interaction with Said. This is one of the re...

In conclusion the danger of single shows how Muslims have a single story of them. The single story of Muslims is them being terrorists and ignorant. Paradise Now proves this message and this film is the single story of Muslim people. Anyone who watches this movie will have a single and only a single story which is enough for them to make up stereotypes about Muslims. Without knowing how dangerous it could be to think of them in one way without finding out the actual stories and facts about Muslims. Paradise Now shows how a single story can be dangerous and how a single story can ruin many lives. The lives of innocent Muslim people.
