Paper
The value of music education in society has been a significant subject since the time of Plato. Plato wrote about music education in his famous work the Republic:
…Education in music is most sovereign, because more than anything else rhythm and harmony find their way to the inmost soul and take strongest hold upon it, bringing with them and imparting grace, if one is rightly trained, and otherwise the contrary. And further, because omissions and the failure of beauty in things badly made or grown would be most quickly perceived by one who was properly educated in music, and so, feeling distaste rightly, he would praise beautiful things and take delight in them and receive them into his soul to foster its growth and become himself beautiful and good. (Mark, 2002, p.6)
Music education is in danger of being lost to the new generations attending school. It is too important to be cast aside, and technology can be used to aid in the fight to save music education.
Importance of Education
The importance of music education can be seen by examining numerous scholarly articles. The National Association for Music Education (MENC) believes that music education will help children to grow and perform well in society, school, life, and increasing their intellect (MENC, 2002). According to the American Arts Alliance Fact Sheet from October of 1996, music helps in society because it will “create jobs, increase the local tax base, boost tourism, spur growth in related businesses and improve the overall quality of life for our cities and towns” (MENC, 2002). Music education helps improve test scores in school; the College-Bound Seniors National Report stated that students who took classes in performing music scored 57 points more on the verbal section of the SATs and 41 points more on the math. Music education increases the intellect of students. Instruction in music is better than instruction in computer literacy because it increases the ability for children to learn reasoning skills (MENC, 2002).
Another article called “Music Makes You Smarter” discusses “an important link between musical training and other cognitive abilities, particularly spatial abilities – the abstract reasoning that is used for understanding relationships between objects such as, for example, when calculating a proportion or playing chess” (Rausher, 1997). Music education is very important because it challenges students to think ahead such as when reading lines of music before playing them (Rausher, 1997).
Albert Einstein’s discoveries and theories have had a positively enormous effect on the world. Some of Einstein’s biggest impacting discoveries and theories are the theories of Special and General relativity, the Theory of Relativity, Brownian motion, the discovery of the photon, and Einstein’s creation of the equation E = MC^2. Perhaps Einstein’s most beneficial discovery is his formulation of E = MC^2 which is crucial for space-flight and can help today’s scientist in gathering knowledge about our universe.
Throughout history music has played an important role in society, whether it was Mozart moving people with his newest opera or the latest album from the Beatles. Where would society be today without music? With schools cutting their music programs, the next Mozart may not get his chance to discover his amazing talent. Music programs are essential to education. To fully understand this one must understand how music helps the human body, why schools have cut music programs, and why people should learn music.

Walt also added more disney characters to the films. Walt loved the idea of Disney characters so much that he wanted to bring them to life to make children and families happy. Walt came up with the idea of creating an amusement park with rides, disney characters, sweet treats, and art pieces. He called these two amusement parks Disneyland, Anaheim and Disney World, Florida Walt did this because he knew that these two amusement parks would make him well known and nobody would ever forget who this brilliant man is. Walt called Disneyland “the Happiest place on Earth.” (Watts 20). Walt called it this because he knew his guests would appreciate his handiwork so much by visiting Disneyland again with their friends, family and loved ones. Unfortunately, Walt did not get to finish creating Disney world, Walt had passed away with lung cancer at age 65 on December 15, 1966. “His brother Roy finished creating Disney World for him.” (Watts 50). Disney World had also become a popular theme park because of its Disney characters, animals and beautiful scenery. In 1905, Einstein’s Theory of Special Relativity was proposed. The reason that it is so "special" is because it was part of the more complex and extensive Theory of General Relativity, which was published in 1915. His theory reshaped the world of physics when it contradicted all previous laws of motion erected by Galileo and Newton. By mathematically manipulating these previous laws of motion, physicists in the nineteenth century were able to explain such phenomena as the flow of the ocean, the orbits of planets around the sun, the fall of rocks, and the random behavior of molecules in gases. At first, Einstein faced great opposition when he came up with his radical new theory because the previous laws of motion proposed by Galileo and expanded upon by Newton had remained valid for over two hundred years. However, it wouldn’t be long before the "cement" in the foundation of Newtonian and Galilean physics would begin to crumble.
For many, music is a passion and career. For others, an enjoyable hobby. Most people would no doubt agree with Plato, that music “gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” Music’s ability to increase and enhance interhemispheric processing, strengthen visuospatial processing, and evoke emotions which physically affect the brain makes music one of the world’s most powerful agents to heal, teach, and help humanity to lead productive, fulfilling lives. As Hans Christian Anderson once said, “where words fail, music speaks.”

“Every student in the nation should have an education in the arts.” This is the opening statement of “The Value and Quality of Arts Education: A Statement of Principles,” a document from the nation’s ten most important educational organizations. The basic message is that music and art programs in the schools help our kids and communities in real and substantial ways. There is an abundant amount of facts and information that supports this statement. The benefits of arts education can be narrowed down into 4 basic categories: success in developing intelligence, success in ...
The position that is being argued is that music should stay in schools. This author is making the claim that music makes children excel in their education. This author uses many different sources. The author relies mainly on studies to back up his argument. The article is recent.
Music is fun. The very mention of the word seems to stir emotions that are exciting and interesting. The mind shifts to recall memories that have long passed, moments that could presently be experienced, or future events that will hold a place in one's heart and mind. In everything, there is sound. Where there is sound, there can be music. Where there is music, activities are taking place with implications affecting one's path in life. In an elementary schoolroom, kindergardeners are learning the ABC song to go home and sing to their parents. Later, these kids are learning to not step on their date's feet on a gym floor at their first school dance. Years later, a team is preparing with exhilarating sounds to clash with their rivals. As this class of students is graduating, they reminisce during their class song. These events will shape their lives with the things they have learned along the way. I am a music fan and a supporter of learning, and, with this project, I learned that both had a connection. As a report, this paper tells of the ways having music in one's life benefits mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Having shown interest in the field of science since such a young age, Albert Einstein pursued a career in physics and mathematics. By doing so, he left a great impact on the world of science and created a legacy with his many theories. One of these theories, the Mass-Energy Equivalence, left one of the greatest impacts on science and has become one of the most well-known scientific theories. The Mass-Energy Equivalence theory was developed by Albert Einstein and thoroughly explains how mass and energy work together, as well as contributing to the development of hospital diagnostics and space technology.

Children under the age of thirteen and using electronic devices is not a good idea due to their innocence and how easily they can be manipulated. The way irritation is connected to the addictive quality is that it slowly develops a mental illness. Common illnesses include depression, anxiety and frequent anger issues. All of these facts tie together to show how children can be overpowered by cell phones at an inappropriate age. Someone may argue that children with phones would in fact be safer from such things because of the special feature of easy communication. A child could easily call or text an adult or parent they know when they need to. Such as situations when a they need to be picked up from an unsafe area, therefore getting rid of any stress or anxiety levels. Although communication is very important for a young child’s safety, they should not have to constantly depend on their cell phones to relieve them of stress or anxiety. They should feel free to talk with a group of friends or an adult they trust and feel comfortable with. This is one way to quickly form an addictive, yet unhealthy
