You’ve probably seen a ton of wood pallets in your daily life. You could see them at your company being loaded with the supplies that you bring in or are being sent out to your clients. You probably even see them at the other businesses you visit. Walking down the aisles in the grocery store, you’ve probably had to walk around stockers working off of pallets. The same is true at the big box stores. If you’ve ever gone Christmas shopping on Black Friday, you’ve seen how many of the stores just put out pallets full of the items on special since they’re going to go fast anyway. You’re able to reduce the number of pallets that you use for your business by reusing them. Pallets are very sturdy and durable, so you can get more than one use out of them unlike just packing your items in boxes without creating the nice stack that makes it easier to transport around your warehouse or to your clients. Think of all the large boxes that would be needed to create the same ease of transportation. In fact I think everyone should recycle to make the earth a better place as a whole. A few good reasons why recycling is a good this is, the more people recycle, the less room is filled in landfills. Also, when people recycle they are reusing materials, therefore saving resources. The most commonly used shopping bag is made of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). This type is used in the majority of supermarkets and stores. Everyone has heard a cashier one time or another mumble, “Paper or plastic?” as he puts their groceries in a bag, but do shoppers know the effects of each vessel in which they carry their comestibles?
