The first time I heard of the Paleo Diet was while having coffee with my Mom and one of her friends. She mentioned being on a diet that I had never heard of before. When I asked about it, she told me about the Paleo Diet and all of issues that it could help with. From that point on the Paleo Diet peaked my interest. I wanted to know what issues the diet could help with and what going on the diet meant. I considered going on the Paleo Diet multiple times, but I could never find a good enough incentive. This project was the perfect opportunity to try it out. For the project, I decided to finally try the Paleo Diet for at least 1 week and at most 4 weeks. I had to do research on the diet to find out what foods I was and wasn’t allowed to eat. I learned that this diet is a lot harder than it looks if you are not prepared, or if you don’t do your research. Finding Paleo Diet plans however is not difficult. Many websites provide 14-30 day meal plans with recipes. Another option is to do your own research and create your own diet plan! With so many resources available, this should not be difficult. No matter how you choose to go about planning your Paleo Diet experience, finding resources is not a difficult task. Personally, my Paleo Diet experience was not a great one. At the start of this challenge, I vowed to spend 2-4 weeks on the diet to truly experience its effects. As you may have guessed, that didn’t happen. I barely made it a week on this diet. I believe my mistake was not going all out. Instead of buying all the substitute ingredients that would’ve allowed to make many of the same foods I ate before I started the diet, I thought I could simply avoid the off-limit foods.
