PEER EVALUATION for Bro. Donald (Luke) Henkel, SVD Luke is a very happy, responsible, and active person. After few months of adjustment, he begins to feel more comfortable and engaging in DWT community effectively. He gets along well with the community and fulfills his duty as a member of the JPIC committee. He participates in many events and collaborates with others for all the works need to be done. Luke has a sense of art, loves to create new things (crafting, planting, cooking, etc.), and cares for beauty and others’ sensitivity. I recognize Luke’s improvement liturgical/prayer attendance with time and manner. For instance, he often mediates and participates in the Holy Hours. I believe that his spirituality and prayer life liven
Ricardo Wilson, Mehran Habbi, Robert Pyles, and others have kept Do-Jung-Ishu going one way or another for the fifteen or so years since Fred left. I’ve certainly done my part as well. Our past club presidents have always done their best to serve the club as have many more peop...
E.M. Bounds wrote a wonderful book devoted to prayer entitled Power Through Prayer. This book encourages the preacher to become a true prayer warrior. E.M. Bounds has written many books on prayer, encouraging Christians to devote their life to prayer. Since the writer is coming from a preacher background himself, one can clearly see the passion he has for prayer in his life. Fellow preachers will hopefully be encouraged by this and want to devote their life to prayer, so that they will better their preaching. Bounds exemplifies through his work that preaching has no power without prayer. He also sets forth the idea that prayer is the life-giving force behind our work for God. In reading this book, it inspires one to pray more and be able to be more effective in their ministry.
In typical Southern fashion, he was referred to as “Brother Akers” (Grisham 87). His sermons were angry tirades against sins, real or imagined that the people of his flock may or may not have been guilty of committing (Grisham 87). He prayed “long and windy” prayers and gave the congregation “verbal beatings” each Sunday (Grisham 84, 92). When the pastor preached about more pleasant subjects like love and charity, he gave Luke the impression that he did so without much conviction (Grisham 136).
This is when the story transitions to Antipas and Luke exchanging letters and begins the conversation about Jesus and the Christians. The first letter Luke sends to Antipas brings the attention to Jesus Christ and how Antipas should read the narrative of Luke. This is when the author lets us know how the gospel of Luke was introduced to Antipas and his experience with Jesus Christ. The majority of the book is the letters being send back and forth between Luke and Antipas; talking about the subject of Jesus Christ and the Christians. In one letter, Luke tells Antipas that the Christians believe this Jesus to be the, “Jewish messiah, or Christ, and the human incarnation of the most high God (p.37).” The author wants us to know What Jesus was known as to the Christians at this time and how important he was to the community. However, Antipas wrote back to Luke asking him if he felt uncomfortable with his association with the Christians. During this time, Christians were looked at as rebellions to the emperor of Rome and how they worshiped a different God. Luke replies by accusing their emperor of being more concerned about his own well-being than the welfare of

...sthetics and defends the liberty of creation; he defends the subjective thing in the work of art, the conscious process of creation.
Hypothesis Two: Luke’s being neglected by his peers is resulted from his lacking of Empathy as he tends to only focus on his own feelings, doing what he wants to do and what makes him happy to others. Even when his peers show disagreement or rejection to such behaviors, he will not address their feelings and continues doing the same thing as if others liked that as well.
As a long term strategy, we recommend James to be made Head of Operations of Controls Asia Pacific in Singapore because he is the best suited person who not only understands the culture and vision of the parent company in the US, but also can transcend that ideology to the Controls Asia-Pacific HQ and the joint venture.
John does a great job at paying attention to the topics discussed in the meetings and taking notes. Last week, a member of the team, Sally, was sick for a few days, and John was able to catch her up to everything that the group had covered. He is very good at explaining problems in a clear and concise manner and can help team members that are perplexed with anything the group is involved in.
Thirdly, according to vs 42 the new converts also spent time in prayer (And they continued steadfastly in the apostles ' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers). Prayer is communicating with God- we talking to God and pausing to hear from Him. The Bible in 1 Thes 5:17 tell us to pray without ceasing. Lk 18: 1 tells us that that man ought always to pray, and not to faint. It’s through pray that we are strengthened, that we get closer to God, get that desire intimacy, and hear his heartbeat. Jesus, took time out to pray ( examples Mk 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed, Matt 14: 23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he

He ensures to practice humility, by not imposing authority, but instead being open to feedback and empower his employees by different means such as giving them flexibility and freedom to explore new ideas. I admire both St. Augustine and Bridgid of Kildare greatly. They began a new way of religious life by providing a peaceful place where anyone could come to rest and reflect no matter what their station in life. In our busy society we rarely have time to sit down, clear our minds, and meditate on what is important to us. Somehow our modern society is unable to combine work, pleasure, and prayer. St. Augustine and Bridgid of Kildare founded several monasteries where the above three things were woven into each day. There were times for tending the fields, giving thanks to God, and relaxing. However, personal reflection has fallen by the wayside in today's cultured. Many people have forgotten about the fulfillment that solitude and prayer can bring to one's life. This is even true in my own life. I am so consumed with social activities, schoolwork, extra curricular activities, etc that I forget to stop and take the time to be present with God and my thoughts. I think that I would be a better person and Christian if I just took ten minutes out of my day to pray, meditate, or write in my journal. Spirituality is something that I have lost, but through the examples set by St. Augustine and Bridgid ...
