The world had never seen a band like Black Sabbath. Ozzy Osbourne’s crazy behavior on stage shocked people. His behavior off stage wasn’t any better. While other members of the band weren’t as bad as Ozzy, they still got a lot of attention, which led to part of their frame. Black Sabbath played heavy metal music, won an Grammy award, and was one of the best bands of the 20th century.
The members of Black Sabbath got interested in music by listening to music. Geezer Butler and Ozzy Osbourne both got into music because they liked the Beatles. Black Sabbath’s band was called Earth, but before they go the name Earth the band was called Polka Tulk Blues Band Cogan,2009). Those were the bands they had until they realize their band should be called Black Sabbath. Black Sabbath got their name from a movie banner that was called Black Sabbath(Aberback,2011). If they did not have a band name they probably would not have a manager, because the manager would not know the band.
All bands have some tragic. At a time Black Sabbath did not have a manager. Since they did not have a manager they had to know some ideas to do,and where they were going on tour. Phish is one of the most amazing and unique bands that were ever founded. The music is a cross between bluegrass, folk and rock. The fans would pretty much do anything for this band, as they follow them around the country to different cities. In resemblance to the Grateful Dead (A Jam Band during the 70’s and 80’s), Phish puts on long shows with continuous jams. Each show being completely different from any of the other shows that they have performed drives fans to continue to follow this astonishing band. While each musician attended the University of Vermont, no one would have ever thought that this band would have made it huge. “Never thought I could make it this far, with a pain in my soul and a whole in my heart, never thought I could never thought I could but when the lights are turning round the wheels are flowing on the ground, the day I burn this whole place down when the circus comes to town” (Trey Anastasio).

If one were to look back into the world’s history, one would find that an important and consistent element is the world of music. Music has presented itself in various forms throughout its spread and through our identification of its magical realm, people have been fortunate enough to come across a means of relation. Whether it is blues and reggae or rap and pop rock, there is music out there for everyone. Music can serve as a stabilizer for some, a relaxant to others, and to many a form of inspiration.
When the band Rage Against the Machine spit, Zack de la Rocha wanted to go solo, while other members and even guitarist Tom Morello and frontman of Soundgarden, Chris Cornell, formed another big group called Audioslave (“ Without Rage, Just Music” 1). After Cobain’s death in Nirvana, they released some more albums, and even played some live shows for MTV. The death of Staley, of Alice in Chains, they began playing with a new singer, William Duvall. They continue to release albums and go on tours even today. Like Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam still play and release albums today. Despite all of the success all these bands had, they still stayed true to their fans, and fought for what they would want, good music with a reasonable price. Bands like Pearl Jam and Nirvana both wanted all their fans to be able to get their music and see them in shows. Pearl Jam took Ticketmaster to court and sued them for making their ticket prices so much and service charges. Ultimately Pearl Jam ended up paying for some of the service charges for each ticket sold so their fans get a little cheaper
Did you know that Def Leppard is the only band in the entire world that has a one armed drummer? ”Def Leppard originated in the town of Sheffield, England during 1977. The band was founded by Pete Willis, Rick Savage, and Tony Kenning. Joe Elliott tried to join the band as a guitarist, but it was decided that he was better suited to be the lead singer. The original name of Def Leppard was Atomic Mass but was later changed. Their first gig was in a dining hall in A Block in Westfield School in Mosborough, Sheffield. Despite all of the hardships the band has overcome, it is still one of the most famous bands in the world. The contributions to music demonstrated by Def Leppard over the years prove without a doubt that they deserve to be inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Def Leppard’s worthiness of this award is shown in their awards, professionalism, and innovation.

In early 1970 the band Queen was formed. Freddie Mercury on vocals, Brian May on guitar, Roger Taylor on drums and Mike Gross on bass. They had known each other for years. All living in the town of Kensington in Britain, sometimes even living together. Brian and Roger belonged to a band called Smile, and Freddie was a very talented vocalsit playing for the band Ibex. They decided to join forces, to better themselves, and their chances of obtaining fame and fortune. After a few months with only a few gigs Mike Gross left the band. He was replaced by Barry Mitchell, who only played a few gigs with them. After a few short months they were looking for their third bass player. Roger, was at a party one night and was introduced to John Deacon, an electronics major at the University of London and a good bass player. The two hit it off, and Deacon became the new member of Queen.
