Hardships are a common occurrence for many humans, but usually helps the person exceed the problems and turn out to be a better person. It almost the same as if someone just gives something to you rather than working for it and appreciating it more. Hardships may mold the person to whom they need to become. If someone can go through a rough time and accomplish what they want, they can hold that accomplishment to a higher value than someone who just gets it. Overcoming an obstacle seems to be part of nature, it can help you. Once you overcome something you could become stronger as a person. Everyone goes through obstacles even if they’re at a minor extent. The rich, the poor, the neglected, and the loved all go through tough times to become who they are now. Life is a cause and effect, we are affected by the need to be comfortable and safe so an obstacle becomes like a threat. Overcoming an obstacle is like reaching a goal, we don't always intend to have such goals, but the coarse of life lets things like that occur. Martin Luther King Jr. wouldn't have been as widely recognized if there weren’t an obstacle. Since there was such an issue as no civil rights and therefore the birth of civil rights leaders came to existence. Why would hardships help mold us? It also helps the understanding of people and benefit societies those that are in harsh environments and have to overcome that tend to have more wisdom and understanding of the people. Those who have easier access to comfort or less conflicts like kids born into a rich family have less of an understanding of life and people, although their minor obstacles do have an effect on themselves their knowledge on society or life might not be as substantial, while those who struggle and overcome bigger obstacles have greater experience in that
