A young girl who was trapped and confined in a space where she could no longer flourish her imagination for writing because of the injustices of the world. Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett the authors of “The Diary of a Young Girl” portray Anne Frank’s experience in hiding during the Holocaust. In her diary, given to her by her father for her birthday, Anne writes about the things and problems that happened in the Annex; from the struggle for food, to the the deafening silence they had to display when any soul come by her father's shop. Along with the others that lived with her Mr.Frank, Mrs.Frank, Mr. Van Daan, Mrs.Van Daan, Peter, and Mr.Dussel.And how the characters overcome adversity and injustice in the play, The Diary of Anne Frank. …show more content…

On (page 774 in”The Diary of Anne Frank”) Anne talks about wanting to be free and have fun with her friends, something she took for granted when she wasn't stuck in the Annex . This shows how much her life has changed and how their freedom was taken away from them now that Jewish people are being captured and killed in Europe. As they get closer to them getting captured (on page 774) she said “ look, Peter, the sky. What a lovely, lovely day!”, she tries to make Peter get his mind off of getting chaptered. Their thought to be free was highly unlikely which at the end they were captured but how they showed that with the hope of each other that they would live and not be captured that their lives would never end is what kept everyone in the Annex going to believe that won day they would be
