During World War II, a lot of British people had to be evacuated from England. They would go to a country far away from theirs for a short period of time. In the book Lord of the Flies by William Golding, young boys are stranded on an island after a plane crash. Only boys from ages 6-12 are alive and they must find a way to work together to survive on the island. While they separate into groups, many things start to go wrong the island. The boys try to solve the problems, but many of them aren’t willing and want it their way. Groups often have disagreements when there is one sole leader. Three things that went wrong on the island in the book, Lord of the Flies by William Golding are no adults, religion, and a bunch of males. The first reason in Lord of the Flies why things went wrong on the island is that it was ruled by kids, no adults. According to the book, all the adults died on the crash which left a medium sized group of young kids. Most of them come from military families so they are aware of the basic needs to survive.
