Wyoming is a beautiful place
We never drove farther west than Iowa. Going to Wyoming was something my brothers and I were looking forward too. Talking about all the activities we will be doing and places we will be stopping at made us more excited. It got me wishing we were going that day, but I knew we had to wait a couple a weeks. Waiting was the worst part of the trip. I could not focus on anything besides getting ready for the trip. As those long weeks came by we finally were packed to go. It was 4 a.m. and my parents were packing the car and telling us to bring everything out. We decided to take the minivan, so there was plenty of space. My older brother always got the back seats to himself so he had his bags back there with him. My little brother and I got the 2 middle seats, giving our clothes bags to my dad so he could put it in the trunk. We packed another bag for our toys and anything else we wanted to bring with. So we packed the game boy and the portable DVD player. As my parents finished packing the trunk they would attach the few items that did not fit on the top of the car. My mom always packed a basket of food and water for the car ride. Waking up after a nap I was in shock that we were actually on are way.
As we drove we made no stops in Illinois, Wisconsin or Minnesota. Finally our first stop was in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I remember while my dad was sleeping a bunch of antelope ran by, it was unbelievable how close they were to us, not even scared. The morning we got up to head off to a place called Wall Drugs learning about the history behind the little town back in the 1800s. We thought it was necessary for us to see Mount Rushmore I can not put in words how remarkable it was to see the four great leaders...

... decided to check out Jenny Lake. We to go hiking and then swim and fish after. We took a boat across the lake and headed up the trail. When we got deeper in the mountain we saw a waterfall with a little creek passing by. Hiking up and back down the mountain was awesome, but it was so hot out I wanted to go in the water and just relax. It was a great day to go hiking and I am glad we took the chance.
That trip got us closer as a family. Spending 2 weeks together either out on the road to Wyoming or just being there was an unbelievable experience. I would never take it back. I love spending time with my family just as much as they do. Trips like that make you realize how much you could have fun with family without having to do something different. To see how beautiful other places are instead of just your hometown is a memorable occurrence to never take for granted.
Finally, we stopped by the western museum. It was a very interesting stop. It had so many old western paintings, weapons and statues. I got to buy a cowgirl hat that was really cool. We did a scavenger hunt there in the museum and then we left, I had a great time.
Our destination was Tennessee. While it doesn’t necessarily sound like the most interesting place to visit, it does offer plenty of attractions to entice plenty of people. I knew, after spending minutes that turned into hours researching what we could do with a week in The Smoky Mountains and the tourist traps that surround it, that we would have a fantastic time. It would surely be quite the contrast from our numerous vacations to Wisconsin Dells over the years. This was finally something different; it would be a wonderful change of scenery. It couldn’t come any
It was going to be the time of our lives. Four buddies of mine and I went out to Jackson, Wyoming to do some of the best snowboarding of our lives. It was our chance to get away from home for a week and have the best time of our lives. The trip out there was extremely boring driving through Iowa, Nebraska, and Wyoming. Possibly the three most boring states in the country.
When my parents and I left for Louisiana, I was so happy. The reason why we were going there was to see Duck Commander. We had to go through Arkansas and Mississippi and I think Tennessee to get to Louisiana. It was a 2 day drive and my butt was hurting, but I got to play music in the car so it was alright. I was so happy when we finally got to West Monroe, LA.
I took a trip to Colorado In July of 2015 it was the best week of my life. The best part of that week was the day that I got to spend in rocky mountain national park. It was a great experience with beautiful scenery and wildlife everywhere you looked. This trip changed everything I thought about where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do when I am finished with my schooling.
My mother kept getting the cities confused. I remember being very excited to finally go with my father. We packed our clothes at night and woke up at three in the morning to head to Denton. The following morning my brother and I sat impatiently in the 18-wheeler trying to make time go by. He had seen on the news snow had fallen near Dallas which only made us more excited. And as anxious as we were to get there, we were also anxious to spend time with our father.
We made it to Calgary and decided to stop at a pub. The place was full of cowboys, and they decided they didn't like our hippie dress. Within minutes they began jeering and threatening. We bolted for the door. They were right behind us, pelting the van with beer bottles. What a horrible experience! After the monotony of northern Ontario and the prairies seeing the Rocky Mountains was fantastic. The poor old van labored valiantly and steadily (as) we carried on.
November 3, 2016- I finally came to the Yosemite National Park. When I saw that place man it blew my eyes, it was like a dream that was happening. For the most part, there were plenty of activities to do. The first activity I decided to do was hiking.
After two plane rides and a long four hour bus trip all fifty of us finally arrived in Farmington, New Mexico. It was my first time being away from parents for more than a couple days and my first mission trip. I was extremely nervous. I thought the trip was gonna be a miserable ten days. It was the summer going into my senior year and before I left I was having a blast hanging out with my friends, going swimming, riding bikes, and relaxing every single day. The last thing I wanted to do was go on a church mission trip, but my parents insisted that I go. My parents said, it would be a, "great experience" and "life changing." They were right! I did not believe them until I got to the reservations. Met all the amazing Navajo Indians and learned
It is amazing how some experiences stay so crisp in my memory, that if I were to close my eyes, I could almost swear that I was there right at that moment. It's as if my body can almost taste the sweet air, feel the cold, wet breeze on my skin, and recall the scent of the pine trees towering above our heads. Hiking in Payson, Arizona, after a snow storm is one of the best places I have ever visited in order to collect one of these memories. Payson is a great place to take the family dog hiking, but also you will be able to appreciate the beautiful landscape Payson has to offer, with it being conveniently located just a brief drive from the sweltering heat of the Desert Valley.
Going on school field trips that last overnight are fun but going and staying for more than one night is even better. Being able to go with your friends to a different state without any teachers that are from your school. Getting to meet new people that have the same interest in agriculture. Also meeting new people that now have an impact on your life. The trip to Denver was to go to the National Stock Show. It is the biggest Stock Show in the United States. Going for a school trip was to be educational and learn about what the shows look like and how people set up for visitors to view.
When I was a young child I would love to hear my parents tell me that we were going on a trip. I would be full of excitement, because I knew that we would be going to a place that I had never seen before. My parents, my brother, and I would pack our luggage and venture out in our small gray minivan. Three of my most cherished memories in our minivan are when we went to Disney World, the beach, and the mountains.
Going on a road trip with my family means the world to me. We drove to another state during summer vacation, and it was by far the best road trip I have ever been on. My family and I were able to go to many fun places. We ate so many exotic and delicious foods as well. Yet most importantly, I spent time with my family and their friends. It was the day when my family and I went to California for our summer vacation.
Road trips were the highlight of my summers when I was young. It was a ritual I looked forward to in the summertime because it meant my family and I would travel to other cities and states. My mother was always in charge of choosing the destination, while my father would be in charge of all the driving. Somehow my father approved of that. Once I knew where we were going, I would start packing right away even if we had months left. I still don 't know why I did that, maybe because of all the excitement I had. A day before leaving my dad would make sure our, then 2001 Toyota RAV4, was good to go. Meaning he would check the oil, tire pressure, coolant, etc. My top two locations where my family and I traveled to were Los Angeles, California and
My most memorable family vacation took place two years ago. We went to Corsica, a French island situated in the south of France right next to Italy. I remembered waking up early excited to visit this new land. Used to take long flights, I was surprised to arrive to the destination after a one-hour flight. Even though the flight was short for me, it was stressful for my mom, she has never felt secured in a plane, probably due to the fact that she is afraid of height. When finally arrived at the destination, the dry and warm weather was there to welcome us. We all felt relief, and knew that this was the beginning of the summer. Excited, we had a lot of activities planned for the few weeks, me and my father could not wait to dive in the clear
