Terrorist Organizations strive on the ability to communicate their agendas to their fellow followers, affiliates, supporters, and the world. Leadership within the terrorists’ organizations is essential to an organization 's communication level, recruitment, and influence. The issue with leadership and the organization as a whole is that when times change and so does the leadership and ways of communication. Evolving with the changing times is key for an organization’s survival during the new era. Osama Bin Laden’s ability to communicate and exert his influence was not immune to the changing world. Media has become more prominent and the creation of social media has made it easier for terrorists’ organizations to put forth their agendas. Al-Qaeda was beginning to fail at their strategic ideologies regarding their agendas. “Misreading the situation, Misreading U.S. Weakness, Expanding the war, Alienating the Locals, and Killing Muslims” (American Public University), are among some of the failures Al-Qaeda has begun to face. Osama bin Laden wrote a series of letters titled the “Letters from Abbottabad.” He expressed his resistance with his organization Al-Qaeda because they had begun to deviate from his original strategies. His ability to control his followers was becoming a challenge and his followers were growing tired of his leadership form. The organization took the path of a more aggressive and impatient approach which was completely opposite from what Osama bin Laden wanted and believed was right. Osama wanted an organization that would last forever and continue to grow even after he was dead. It was his legacy and he did a wonderful job creating such an organization. The difference between Osama bin Laden’s leadership before September 11th to his death was a result in changing times and power. The organization has become one of the most extreme violent organizations of our time and will continue to

Almost half a century has passed since the mysterious disappearance of James Riddle Hoffa. In a time where unions were synonymous with the mob, James Hoffa reigned ruthlessly over the Teamsters Union. While Jimmy was president, he obtained labor contracts using any means necessary. Those contracts were intertwined with the mafia and helped the Teamsters Union flourish. Jimmy Hoffa’s closely-knit relationship with the mafia proves the existence of violence and corruption in the nation’s largest labor union which ultimately lead to his murder on July 30, 1975. The story of the years before his disappearance and his actual disappearance seem like they came out of a Hollywood movie script. The suspects in the case, Russell Bufalino, Anthony
Osama bin Laden was an adversary of the West for years and it was known to the whole world. Unfortunately, he took it a little further by having two planes fly into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon and another plane possibly for the White House. As we all know, this is the unforgettable day of September 11, 2001. Thousands of Americans were innocently murdered that day and in our own country by a terrorist organization. The United States of America would not stand for this and rapidly sought out Osama Bin Laden for what he had done to us. This is the day that caused the United States to accelerate the search and destruction efforts of bin Laden. Soon after September 11th, the United States was very involved in Afghanistan in trying to find him.
Likewise, Goodwin illustrates how the use of categorical terrorism can be seem being used by Al-Qaida during the attacks of 9/11. Nonetheless, it is evident that Al-Qaida is unusual in terms of using terrorism to influence the rise of unity rather than trying to overthrow a standing state. For the purpose of instigating a pan-Islamic revolutionary movement, Al-Qaida tries to unite all Islamic people under one state to develop umma, or Muslim community. The logic of Al-Qaida remained that if their “revolutionaries” could illicit a reaction from the powerful US state, resulting in oppression of the middle-eastern region, that Al-Qaida could, as a result, unite all Muslims to counter this suggested oppression. Although the end goal of Al-Qaida clear failed, it does suggest the organization’s attempt at implementing categorical terrorism.
For approximately the past three decades, a terrorist group has come to plague the world with its activities (Gunaratna, 2002). This group is known as Al Qaeda. Al Qaeda, when translated means “The Base”. It is a terrorist organization that seeks to remove western influence from the Middle East and spread its radical Islamic views. Al Qaeda’s most prominent leader was Osama bin Laden, until his death during a raid upon his compound in Pakistan. The Al Qaeda’s motivation stems primarily from extreme and deeply rooted religious beliefs. Their most used method of attack is through suicide bombers and improvised explosive devices. This organization has also used chemical warfare and at this time is believed to still actively seek to utilize chemical and biological agents as means to battle.
Two months before the attacks, Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaeda terrorist organization were already people
I chose this topic because I want to learn more about Osama’s life why he wanted to commit the war on terrorism against the western theory of how it is super bad at all times. From what
