Once was Lost

Every place we visit and live has its own way of making us feel at “home” It’s what we do to make the places we visit and live make us feel like we are at home. We learned in this film, that we never have problems someone else isn’t facing. You are never to young, or old to be facing the same problems in life. I have also learned most of the films we watch, are different from how they are portrayed in the movie from real life. We also learned every place you come across in life has an affect on how that city made you feel at a time in your life. We will see who Bob and Charlotte are in the movie Lost in Translation. They come across each other on the elevator, bar, dinner and at the pool area. The are both unable to sleep most of the time and both find each other at the New York Bar on the upper level of the hotel. Even though they have a big difference in age, they are still facing similar issues in life and bring happiness to each other. While Charlotte is having dinner with her husband and friends, she still feels lonely and disconnected with them at dinner. She sees Bob from a distant and has her waiter send him peanuts. After that night she spends every night at the bar with Bob. They both adventure the city together, after Bob is done shooting his commercial. They both enjoy a night of karaoke and dance with each other at a local bar downtown. Bob and Charlotte build a really good friendship without being sexually attracted to each other. We can see in several scene, she stubs her toe and he offers to take her to see the doctor to get her foot seen. Another scene, is when Charlotte had to much to drink when they went out one night, he takes her to his room and they both lay down next to each other and enjoy talking about their lives. They are connected to a strong friendship that brings them happiness to each
