In every hospital you will find many registered nurses because it is a good career to get into. A job industry that will never run out of jobs is the heath industry because everyone in the world needs health care treatment. Students should look into healthcare careers id they want a successful life and career. Registered nursing need dedication although it does not take such a long time to complete this career it has its rewards in its outcomes.
While there are a lot of responsibilities that nurses have to do most of the nurses being female or males do their work good because they have human beings that they are treating and taking care of. Most registered nurses have multiple things that they do every day. Some of their mains duties that they due are to record patients' medical histories and symptoms. For example if you are at a hospital lat the emergency room registered nurses are the ones that take information of recent hospitals that you have been in or family history of certain diseases or allergies to any medications. ...first started this research I was a bit nervous because I was broken in between two paths which were in the humanities major and the nursing major. I was more informed about the humanities major than the nursing career so I decided to learn more about it and it was a great way to learn more knowledge in order for me to choose the right path. The nursing career grabbed more my attention and my interest. While figuring out that I wanted to go forward with attaining this goal there are few things that I have to be on task that way I can become a registered nurse. To attain this goal I will go to workshops on registered nursing to find out everything or anything that I missed out while doing my research. Something that is crucial to attain this goal is academic goal which is to maintain good grades in my sciences classes and every class that I take from now on.
Registered nurses perform different jobs throughout their career. RNs prepare for many different things during the day for example caring and teaching patients about what’s wrong with them. RNs require clinical skills, bedsides manners, and are able to multi-task. They also have to be very clean and safe at all times within their environment. There is a shortage of all health care professions throughout the United States. One shortage in particular that society should be very concerned about is the shortage of Registered Nurses. Registered Nurses make up the single largest healthcare profession in the United States. A registered nurse is a vital healthcare professional that has earned a two or four year degree and has the upper-most responsibility in providing direct patient care and staff management in a hospital or other treatment facilities (Registered Nurse (RN) Degree and Career Overview., 2009). This shortage issue is imperative because RN's affect everyone sometime in their lifetime. Nurses serve groups, families and individuals to foster health and prevent disease.
After going through a lot of trial and error in my career, I have decided that I want to pursue being a Registered Nurse. Many things have led me to this career choice, including personal and financial gain. I have tried many other occupations and educational programs and none of them have fulfilled me like I believe nursing will. It has taken me a long time to get to this point and I often joke that I finally know what I want to be when I grow up. I will tell you about my journey and what I hope to gain in my future.

Nurses provide leadership as members of interdisciplinary teams, provide client centered care to promote health, prevent disease, and restore and maintain client integrity throughout the life span. (Krannich 71). This makes it one of the most interesting professions, in my opinion.
My courses and experience has empowered, and has reinforced my determination to pursue a career as a nurse. I am eager and excited about starting nursing school, and having my dream which started as a young girl to come full circle. I am convinced I am a good candidate because I have the innate drive to complete the program. I am willing to learn and use those skills and knowledge acquired to provide something meaningful to the society and humanity. I have the personal determination to face the challenges and rigors of nursing school. With hard work, perseverance, and determination I believe I have the essential character to be successful as a nursing student and an excellent quality nurse in the near future. A degree in nursing paves ways for other degrees to emerge especially for those interested in furthering their education in health care. I am committed to continue to pursed advanced degree in nursing ultimately becoming a nurse practitioner. . Committing myself to lifelong learning is my second goal. Nurses need to cultivate and internalize a passion for learning throughout their careers, which provides a foundation for excellence in practice. I would like to become a Critical Care nurse since I work as a Health Technician in the ICU at the VA Hospital –Madison. I love taking care of people at their sickest. The intensity of the care and challenges presented at the job excite and motivate me. However, I’m willing to start on a general floor such as medical-surgical to better prepare myself. I plan to obtain the certificate in the specialty of my choosing as soon as I fulfill the clinical hour requirement for application. After acquiring enough nursing experience, I would like to complete my Doctorate of Nursing degree to become a nurse practitioner with a specialty in Critical Care. I plan to stay current on education by taking courses, attending conferences, obtaining certifications, as well as joining meaningful nursing organizations.
