Nursing: Ready for the Challenge

The world is constantly changing as the future draws nearer. By being a nurse, I have the ability to change lives and make major impacts on the lives of people and the world in a medical aspect. I know in my heart that it is my calling to become a nurse, to lead this world into the future. Being a nurse will be a challenge, but I am ready for that challenge. I have been ready for a long time to take on my role as a world changer, a listener, a healer, and a friend to those with needs, a nurse. I have chosen to pursue a career in nursing because it fits my essence of being, will allow me to accomplish my professional goals, and will allow me to practice a career with which I am irreversibly enthralled.

The characteristics of a zealous and devoted nurse are what I possess internally and exhibit externally. As a person who has encountered many problematic circumstances through being a cheerleading coach at Oak Grove Athletic Association for nine years and an assistant manager for Cherry Hill Photo for three years, I have acquired the ability to think critically and rapidly on my feet and work comfortably under pressure. I have also encountered difficult ethical situations that I have had to resolve in these two leadership positions that require significantly challenging duties and extreme responsibility. Through these challenging ethical issues, I have learned to listen sympathetically and patiently, endeavor to understand, and tactfully manage the situation. Though I have had to deal with inquiries which I was not utterly confident addressing in these positions, it has always been in my disposition to do the critical research needed to determine the most effective answer and articulate that answer to better respond to any question...

I am completely and irrevocably interested in the practice of nursing and all that it entails. I am passionate about health, the human body, and the way the human body works because I believe this will not only increase the overall mental and physical health and well-being of all mankind presently, but also create a healthier, safer, and more peaceful future for all humans to live in. Through all of my life experiences, I have attained the proficiencies to change the world through my nursing career, and this is what I will accomplish. As a person who takes pride in being a team player and a leader, I genuinely know for a fact that I will make a wonderful team player in developing our future together. I am ready to leave my mark on society.
