Nuclear weapons possess enormous destruction power from their nuclear fission. They have only been used twice in this history of mankind and that was during World War II in the Pacific campaign, instead of invading Japans mainland President Truman decided to drop atomic bombs on two Japanese cities and ask for their surrender. After the second bomb was dropped Japan had surrendered and the war was over. Nuclear weapons have in pros and cons, but without nuclear bombs we wouldn’t know nearly as much as we know today about radiation and things of that nature. Because of the nuclear bomb we even have nuclear power now which also has it pros and cons. The detention would case whats called a “nuclear winter”, which is when a atomic bomb goes off and the smoke from the smoldering city would be so dense that it would block the sun, making it cold, dark, and dry at Earths surface killing all plants and preventing agriculture for at least a year. It is also powerful and efficient, much more than other energy sources. Nuclear power is also reliable and can produce power 24/7 unlike solar and wind energy. It’s very cheap as the price for uranium is quite low, set up cost for nuclear power plants are high but running cost are low.
