Keep your mind clear
The process of writing, just like sailing on the sea. If the ship need to reach its’ destination, the sailers need to correct the course almost every time, with respect to the relative data, to prevent from deviating too far from the original sea lane. Sailers may meet storms and surge, just like writers will deal with numerous resources when they are doing researches. Theredore, the most important problem emerge: How do they keep on their ways?
When I was started my first project, which is an analysis of the writing in my class, I realized that it was hard to keep my own pace on my theies. For an analysis, it required a lot of researches on the writing behaviours. To thourouly understanding what a writer was trying to

But sometimes I did’t know how much detail should be included in my inquire questions or paraphrasing and summerizing. And this is what Elireview for. Elireview is a plantform that peers could review the writing projects and add comments on them.
Still on my project one, my initial inquire question is “How people writing in math ?” (Chu, “Writing in math” 1). After I uploaded my draft to Elireview, all my readers give me suggestions on refining my inquire question. Luke give me the following suggestion like "How do professors or math experts make students or colleges in their field understand highly specialized knowledge?". Then I realize what do I really want to write. So I change my old inquire question into “How did academic author make audience understand highly specialized knowledge in math?” (Chu, “Writing in Math-graded draft” 1)
After I konw where my destination is exactly is, I can make some more modification in my writing content. I used to have a two-page long summery and I don’t know how detail I need to do. Then Connor told me that to find the points that make the resource unique.to my topic. With the help of his advice, I shrink my summery in to two short
In the article, “Understanding Writing Assignments: Tips and Techniques,” author Dan Melzer shares with his audience seven useful suggestions to keep in mind when starting any writing assignment. Melzer’s first tips are for readers to examine their rubrics for any key verbs that will tell writers what approach and genre their paper should have. Knowing what kind of writing your teacher wants will not only help a writer get started, it will also inform a writer what they can research to view examples. Next, he tells his readers to write for their specific audience, to make sure they know their teacher’s expectations, and to take into account what they have learned in class. In these sections, Melzer stresses the importance of asking a teacher
Learning Target #1: I can adjust my writing practices for different time frames, task, and
Another revision technique that was suggested was “sentence outlining” which involves summarizing each paragraph of a writing into one overarching sentence in order to improve the cohesion of the piece (Harris 450). Introducing these techniques can allow readers to utilize revision in their own writing and form their own stance on its effectiveness. With revising the conclusion of a piece, Harris’ advise is to look ahead rather than to rephrase what has already been stated (Harris 454). Revision is expected to extend beyond the piece.
Your purpose in reading source materials and then in drawing upon them to write your own material is often reflected in the wording of an assignment.

The purpose of going every day to classes and studying is to increase our knowledge and applies these sciences to benefit the nation. After this long semester, my horizons have expanded via many different information and activities that we practiced in the class. I have written four essays that are completely different from one another. In addition, of the big research that we have been working on at the end of the semester. I lived with my imagination during writing about each of the Chinese learning center, , Flavi's home and Arranging a marriage in India.
The first writing project I was assigned in this class was an analysis of the film, Gran Torino. During class, I learned there was so much more to the movie than what we see; there was a meaning behind every little thing from the clothes to the hair to even the cars on the side of the street. It all meant something. The key features of an literary analysis include “an arguable thesis, careful attention to the language, attention to patterns or themes, and a clear interpretation (Norton Field Guide 85-86).” Critical thinking is an important skill, not just behind a desk, but also in the real world. The second writing project was a workplace writi...
As time goes by, I noticed how reading and writing became one of my weaknesses. Having an assignment readings and writing an essay about it was one of the things I don’t like doing. I am not sure if there are any valid reason on why I don’t like it but all I know is there is always a point where I end up getting stuck because I do not know what else to say. Also, reading gets deeper and some of the words are hard to understand especially when some of the readings use metaphors. However, in every essay I turned in, I always look forward on all of my teacher’s comments because I always want to know what else I am missing, what else to say, and how to improve it. I guess in this case, Sherman Alexie and I are opposite towards our view on writing but we are the alike on the view of learning and improving.
Writing is a process that is distinct, and unique to each person, and over one’s academic career there is this adoption of one’s own unique writing process. My writing process begins with me getting into a creative mindset, one in which I’m able to stimulate thought and emotion from on the given topic. I then go onto to create a graphic organizer of all the ideas that I generate and wish to use in my piece. After I have developed a list of workable ideas, I begin to write my first draft. During this step, I put all the ideas I had generated in point form into paragraph form. After I have written a rough draft of the assigned piece of writing, I gave it to either a peer, or family member to read through; so I can get an external perspective

Among these theorists, Linda Flower believes that the new foundation of process pedagogy lies with the establishment of balanced ideas and a continued work in time. As evidence she states that well written essays “are the result of a long, laborious, intensely personal process” (L. Flower). She recognizes different points of views about the process of writing and that most of theorists know this process as detailed steps. These steps include prewriting, writing, rewriting and the use of strategies to pass the meaning properly. Moreover, she believes that writers should refer to other opinions whil...
First, before I get into my discussion let me just say WOW I can't believe this is our last assignment in this course! Now getting on with it, I progressed the most in my writing. From the very first to the very last discussion, I believe through each week I have progressively gotten better in this area. Each week before I sat down to write my discussion, I would look at the previous rubric to see what I could improve that week , and I would begin crafting my discussion. I would then reread the paper a few times, and correct anything I missed. I have grown into a much better writer since the start of this class. I am very happy with the progress I have made, and will continue to get better over time.
Writing however is just like taking on a mission, once the mission has been received the leaders much go through a series of steps in order to accomplish the task that is at hand in a timely manner so that it is successful. Careful
As time went on, my writing moved away from the creative writing I did throughout my career as a student and begin writing as a professional whose main task is to get to the point. This was clear in the beginning where we were tasked to write a course application email. In the email, my first line was, “I strongly urge you to accept me into the ENG 3050 Technical Communications course.” If I had not read how to write a memo before I sent, I would’ve filled the email with pointless content attempting to make the memo flow. Similarly, in the introduction for my project plan memo, I wrote, “The problem that I would like to research for my technical report is the graduation rate at Wayne State. More specifically, I’d like to show that if college and school is run less like a business and more like a place that fosters education, the University will be better overall. Because of high tuition rates, stresses of retaining aid, and insufficient management of the institution, Wayne State’s students suffer from high dropout rates and low four-year graduation rates. If Wayne State University were to implement new policies which change
During the course of this semester; the variety of writing styles and essays assigned to me in my communication skills class encouraged the development of my writing skills, as well as provided me with more self-assurance in my abilities. My writing, research, and presentation abilities enhanced through practice, determination, and the understanding I gained during this course. With every single writing assignment, I learned new innovative approaches and skills, which enhanced my abilities to improve my thoughts logically, enabling me to write more clearly, and to organize my papers more effectively. At the beginning of this semester; despite the fact that I already knew the terminology MAP: message, audience, purpose; I never really understood the significance of MAP. For this reason, my writing lacked clarity, organization, and my writings appeared less focused on the topics. As a result my research papers and essays did not flow as smoothly from one passage to the next. Furthermore, I was unaccustomed with the precise procedures used when writing an essay. For instance, my previous classes before college, although requiring a reference page, did not require me to include proper citations in my writings. After evaluating the quality of my writing toward the end of the semester, I recognized vast improvements in several areas of my writing. By concentrating on the beginning stages of my writings, I could distinguish ahead of time my audience and my message. As a result, my essays are clear, and I remain on topic. In addition to that using transition phrases efficiently also helps my writing to flow smoothly. The proper use of transitions makes my writings easy to follow from one topic to the next. I also learned that pre-writing...
