Server Technology is all over the world and used to help families, companies as well as ourselves in this everyday life. One of the server technologies I will be pointing out is Ning; Ning is a server where people can create their own personal site. Ning is also the social platform for the world’s interests and passions online. Ning was created because it was offered as an easy to use service that has allowed many people to join and create their Ning Network. Many people use this site to promote their church or companies or anything in the sort. Ning has also been created for many people to come together all across town its similar to Face book, people can do so many things that can give to a job or even a big company. You can even explore and express what interest you while discovering a new passion for things, while doing all this you meet new people all around or even in your area and sharing activities. Ning is told to offer more than 50 different themes to make your site fit the way you see fit, some of the things Ning provides for its creators are, "videos that can be upload at anytime, photos, chat with others while online, downloading favorite music of yours, create groups, events, and blogs ; in addition to latest activity feature, member profile pages, friends, messaging, email notifications, RSS support, and third-party applications a member or Network Creator can add to their Ning Network. As a result of this broad set of choices, each Ning Network is unique and special in its purpose, design, branding and features." Ning allows people , as well as artists, brands and organizations to simplify and control their own Ning Network uniquely that will beautifully combine with other social media services while providing the ... ... middle of paper ... ...isfied with what they chosen. I have chosen to use these sites/servers before and I became happy with most, however some of the sites that I listed and did not list have a verity of things to choose form within the site without becoming very bored. However there are some of the sites that have the same features on one as the other just with a different name. From my understanding when people use Ning they will find a lot of similarities within the site as well as a lot of unique differences. I would not think though that any server/site is higher than the other prior to a lot of the similarities they have in common. Each site/ server had to start from ground on up, so each technologies that been created started off at slow paste. Eventually there will be a time when all site may seem to be similar to other technologies. Works Cited www.microsoft.com; www.ning.com
The Netsilik and the Chipewyan were both tribes that lived in really tough area with extreme low temperature and a lot of ice that doesn’t allow any kind of farming. These tribes rely on deer hunting a lot and the process of using the meat is handled by women. Any kind of sewing, cooking or preparation of the meat to be used is done by women, but even though women have a big role in the post hunting life in both of these communities, they have quite different roles. First, they approach kinship in two different ways. The Netsilik have a bilateral descent system, which is similar to what we have in the United States today, but not completely. Netsilik have personal kindreds which are blood relatives of a person on his or her generational level which we don’t have. The Chipewyan system is
The history of the internet takes us back to the pioneering of the network and the development of capable technologies. The explosion of the internet’s popularity of the 1990’s was large and dramatic, boosting our economy and then helped to bring it into a major recession. One can only hope that the explosion becomes organized and slightly standardized in the interest of the general public. Despite all of these conjectures and speculations only time can tell the future of the largest network in the world.

A network can be based on either a peer-to-peer level or server-based, also referred to as domain-based. To distinguish the difference, a peer-to-peer network, also known as a workgroup, is a network in which a group of computers are connected together to share resources, such as files, applications, or peripherals. The computers in a peer-to-peer network are peers to one another, meaning no single computer has control over one another. There is also no central location for users to access resources, which means that each individual computer must share their files in order for other computers to have access (Muller, 2003, p.411). “In a peer-to-peer environment, access rights are governed by setting sharing permissions on individual machines.” (Cope, 2002) On the other hand, in a domain-based network, the computers connected together are either servers or clients. All of the other computers connected to the network are called client computers. The server is a dedicated machine that acts as a central location for users to share and access resources. The server controls the level of authority each user has to the shared resources. When logging on to the network, users on client machines are authenticated by the server, based on a user name and password (Lowe, 2004, p.13).
One of, if not, the first social networking sites was SixDegrees.com, established in 1997, and within the following five plus years several others would appear, most notably Friendster (Boyd and Ellison 5). The popularity of Friendster soared due to media coverage, peaking by its having been listed second highest in Time magazine’s 50 Coolest Websites (Buechner). The growth that followed this media coverage was unexpected by Friendster, and that meant that their systems were ill equipped to handle the volume of traffic generated. When browsing the Internet, the most frustrating experience, especially early in the twenty first century was load time. Frustration with load time would diminish significantly from 2002 to 2005 when the average user’s ability to connect at speeds at or above 1Mbps increased nearly 25% ("Poll: Internet Connection Speed "). Friendster’s users became conscious of their inability to handle user volume as speed connections increased....

As the internet increases its grasp on foreign markets, it was a natural progression for one of the most successful companies to be born from the internet to expand its operations into these fledgling countries. While the internet usage in foreign markets such as Japan, Europe, and China are just beginning to take shape, the number of new internet users in these markets is expanding at a much greater rate than in the United States.
Networks, including the internet, are one of the most essential things to businesses. Without computer networks, companies would be lost and would not have a way to communicate without these systems and this would cause businesses to operate slower (Network 1). Patch works of older networking systems are easier to find these days (Network 1). Starting relationships between many businesses, networks in many ways become synonymous with the groups and businesses they bring together (Network 1). Business employees, customers, and business partners would have available access to their information stored in network systems, could get to their network systems and share them easily among themselves (“Network” 1). Computer networks give their owners speed, ability to connect, and ultimately value to their users. They give possible solutions for business difficulties and issues that would not be possible to other businesses (Network 1). Computer networking systems are required for electronic communications. (Network 1) As time moves on, businesses’ spend a ton of money on computer systems that are used to manage various functions such as accounting, human resources...
The internet that society knows today, was once a very small concept that only a few people could grasp. Often times the internet can be defined as a communication network for the worldwide sharing of information. One of the more popular uses of the internet is reconnecting with old friends or family members. Popular websites, like Facebook and Twitter, can be used to search people; if a person chooses to utilize these websites, they would have the opportunity to add people and start communicating and sharing information with them. Another great thing that the internet has to offer is the ability to advertise. People, who chose to use certain websites, can use it as a mean of telling their friends and family about yard sales, businesses opening up, or just simply selling items they no longer have a need for. Since the usage of the internet has become such a popular deal, websites are starting to provide users with multiple options. A person who decides to use internet may
Much of the focus in the Web 2.0 and Social Networking space has been toward customer interaction; that is, how to collaborate better with customers through blogs, forums, or Facebook and MySpace websites, how to increase product awareness or drive sales with marketing campaigns, or how to increase customer satisfaction using Ajax so that pages are updated almost automatically.
Local Area Networks also called LANs have been a major player in industrialization of computers. In the past 20 or so years the worlds industry has be invaded with new computer technology. It has made such an impact on the way we do business that it has become essential with an ever-growing need for improvement. LANs give an employer the ability to share information between computers with a simple relatively inexpensive system of network cards and software. It also lets the user or users share hardware such as Printers and scanners. The speed of access between the computers is lighting fast because the data has a short distance to cover. In most cases a LAN only occupies one or a group of buildings located next to each other. For larger area need there are several other types of networks such as the Internet.

This advancement empowers clients and organizations to work together on the web (Contributor and Haughn 2015). This has risen through online networking, which empowers customers to create content and has social cooperation online through social stages. There are various social stages that have encouraged data offering. Case in point, Wikipedia, a free online reference book, is a standout amongst the most famous stages and has the office for clients to work together on data offering Other stages with the capacity to create surveys and appraisals, for example, Amazon.com, empower clients to survey and rate items (Zeckman 2015). This new advancement has seen online groups and an electronic system of people rise on social stages where parts offer data all around and
