Today, I will be introducing you to my new invention, as well as giving you a look at myself and my previous inventions so that you will have a good perspective about how profitable your investment will end up being. To start off, i’ll like to take you back to my home village of Smiljan, Siberia. I was born on july tenth 1856. My father, Milutin Tesla, was a Serbian Orthodox priest. My mother’s name was Duka Tesla. I was the fourth of five children, I had an older brother named Dane, and three sisters, Milka, Angelina and Marcia. When I was just five years old, my older brother Dane was killed while riding on horseback, I suffered traumatic flashbacks and hallucinations for years to come after the incident. After I had completed both Lower and Primary school in Smiljan, my family and I moved to Gospic in the Austrian Empire, there I again completed Lower and Primary school, but then moved on to Lower Real Gymnasium. After finishing Lower Real Gymnasium, i moved to Karlovac to complete Higher Real Gymnasium where i was influenced my arithmetic teacher, Martin Sekulic. I was so gifted at math, I could perform quite complex equations in my head, so gifted in fact, that some of my teachers began to believe that I was cheating on exams! They soon realized that i wasn’t, and i completed the four year school session in three years I graduated in 1873. After I was done with my lower schoolings, I came back to my home town, where I almost immediately contracted cholera. Throughout this time, I came close to death many times. My father had promised me that if i recovered, he would send me to engineering school, a field that I had looked into throughout my life up to this point. When i did recover, I enrolled in Austrian Polytechn... ... middle of paper ... ...pany, here, my investors and I set up a laboratory at 89 Liberty Street in Manhattan so that I could work on me plans and prototypes of my inventions. Mostly, i focused my efforts on AC current generators and means to transport that power to the public. After I had worked and produced one of these generators, a friend of mine, asked me to present and show off my generator at the American Institute of Electrical Engineers. A fellow inventor, George Westinghouse, who was also working on an AC motor, decided to buy my polyphase induction motor and transformer designs for $60,000 in cash as well as stock. He also decided to pay me $2.50 per AC horsepower produced by each motor to sweeten the deal. Westinghouse also decided to hire me for 2,000 dollars a month as a electrical advisor and technician and the Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company's Pittsburgh labs.
