Recommended: Globalization of child labour in Nike corporation

Next time you but name brand shoes, think about what goes on in their factories. Kids in other places of the world are working in chemical filled factories and only earn so little, While the Nike corporation thinks it’s the right thing to do. The factories have harsh fumes, chemicals that could harm a lot of adults, let alone a 13 year old working in the factory to produce shoes for Nike. Again, I honestly believe that child labor should not be encouraged. Kids should be focused on kids stuff, such as, school and after school programs, not coming home from a long day from the factory only coming home with a dollar. There are some jobs that kids could do like, walking your neighbors dog or mowing the lawn, but placing children in a factory

Many families moved from rural areas to new, industrialized cities. After a while things weren’t looking as “promising” as they did before (Boone 23). In order to maintain, families had to put almost all of their family members to work. This led to a rise in the number of child labor. Using children to do all of the hard work, the mining companies believed, was the most sensible and efficient way to get the job done. These wages were enough to persuade companies to use children for all sorts of dangerous jobs such as coal mining and chimney sweeps.
