Recommended: The definition of love marvell

According to Dictionary.com, love is a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. Newt doesn’t understand what love is and in my opinion, I believe that Newt and Catherine should not be together. It is not a good a idea for Newt and Catherine to be together because Catherine is about to be a wife, Newt just expects Catherine to feel the same way after being gone for over a year and finally and in the end, he went A.W.O.L for her which is not the right thing to do. The first reason that I think Newt and Catherine should not be together is because Catherine met someone else during Newts time being a private first class in the Artillery. She is engaged to Henry Stewart Chasens and the wedding is only one week away. Catherine is in love with Henry and is excited to be getting married to him. Catherine is fond of Newt as a friend but it is too late for him to just to be stepping in and saying that he loves her. Catherine has a whole new life ahead of her since she is about to be a wife. This is just one of the reasons why i believe Newt and Catherine should not be together. …show more content…

It is unrealistic and unfair to Catherine because she has everything planned out and Newt should not have put her on the spot like he did in the story. Newt waited forever to tell Catherine the way that he feels. He could have told her years ago but he waits until she is engaged.
