This war has been fought with parents since the dawn of time. Well...maybe not the dawn of time but maybe when video games arrived. PAC-Man, Space invaders, and Super Mario 64 were such good games. As video games got more popular, the more violent and better they became. Video game companies started to produce games that were violent. Then video games became more realistic. More blood and gore. At least all the popular games out there are violent. The one that is the most violent and bad is the Saints row series. In my opinion it's worse then GTA 5. Although GTA 5 is more popular. My opinion of why it is more popular is because it's the next game in the GTA series and it has awesome graphics like HD TV's. I can understand that. The only reason I like GTA games like GTA VC is because you get the freedom of you want to do. This type of a game is called a sandbox. That's basically my favorite type of games. I mean look at GTA 5 against GTA SA. GTA 5 has worse content then GTA SA. I can't even get my hands on GTA 5 or GTA 4 (I didn't like GTA 4 that much.) I mean if I get to play GTA SA then I'm happy. I really don't care about GTA 5. Even if I played GTA 5, I would just probley play multiplayer with my friends honestly. GTA SA is way different then GTA VC for many reasons. GTA SA has a HUGE map to explore. That will keep me busy for a while. Also I heard that the game is 70 hrs of missions. That's a lot a lot to do. In GTA SA there is also a lot of Easter eggs too. I love to find. Imagine it is like a mystery to find them all. They might reference movies, jokes, and other games. In GTA SA you can customize your character, cars, and skills. You can make your character have a Afro if you wanted one! You can customize your cars. You can... ... middle of paper ... ...e until it's at 100% (very hard to get but if you work hard you will get it.). The game is not is not just missions. There's side missions, stuff you have to collect, etc. How will I act after I get the game (if I do get)? I WILL try not to talk back AND not yell and annoy my sister. I'm actually gonna try. Wait... I'm not gonna try... I will. You are probley gonna stay that you should always do that anyways no matter if you get the game. I just need a game to take off stress from Bella, school, and just simple humming from Bella. This is Christmas season anyways. This can be my Christmas present for this year. I'm not saying that's my only reason but just saying. I really know that I deserve a house full of coal the way I act. Also the last thing I have to say is that it's $6.99 and other systems like pc and xbox 360 is $15-20 (Information about prices was used from

virtual world. You are in control. Law—what law? Go ahead, steal a car, shoot innocent bystanders. The world is yours. Why are people so wrapped around video and computer games? Why are people so captivated by these inventions, spending countless hours in front of a screen? When one’s mimetic experience is in conflict with, or is suppressed by the dominant fantasies of the West, one turns to escapism as a form of counter-fantasy or alternate fantasy, as it offers comfort and allows one to regain
Video Games and Their Negative and Positive Effects Dianna L. Domek Liberty University Abstract Video games are here to stay. Will banning violent video games stop teenagers from committing violent crimes? Research has shown that violent video games will not turn people, more specifically teenagers, into psychotic killers. play video games. Schools are having a controversy on whether video games should be brought into schools as a replacement for regular physical education activities. Video games should not replace regular physical education activities in schools because they would become uninteresting/repetitive and they would not meet the minimum standards for the recommended daily exercise. Firstly, video games should not be in P.E. because they would get boring and repetitive. There are only so many games the

When at its nascent stage, the video game industry focused on enticing adolescents by installing gaming systems at recreation centers and malls. With advanced

“As video games have become more violent and more sophisticated and the sales of video games has skyrocketed in the last few decades, youth violence has plummeted,” Ferguson says, citing evidence compiled by various federal agencies (Adams 3). Violence in video games is not a new issue. It has been debated and argued since the release of the first violent video game. As time has progressed, so has the evolution of violence and strong language within video games. Ratings have become more relaxed,
Video Games Considered Art Many video games use visuals to mentally immerse gamers into a virtual world filled with seemingly living, breathing people, animals, or cities. According to Michael Samyn and Auriea Harvey, game designers for Tale of Tales, video games increasingly develop into a true medium of artistic expression (Lamb). In just forty years, video games transformed from an abuse of the new computer for entertainment purposes into a sophisticated form of popular art. The development
(Intro Paragraph) Many people do not believe there are benefits to playing video games. The majority of them are parents of disgruntled teenagers. These kids meet a wall of parental resistance each time they make an effort to get the ban against video gaming lifted in their homes. They have used every typical persuasive technique available to them; including a promise to keep their room clean and free of clutter for the remainder of their life. Video games are almost always present in any house that is home to an adolescent child. While video games are popular among people of all ages, adolescent children are usually the most involved. An article was developed by three members of the Psychopathology department at a university in the Netherlands. Video Games: I Hate Loving Them I love video games. I love them, and I have no idea why. I will never forget the first time I played the original Nintendo Entertainment System as a child. I was quite young, and I had accompanied my mother and sisters to visit my mother’s family in Ohio. Their town was quite small, and being used to the constant distraction of the city, I found the whole situation to be rather void of entertainment. This was until I was invited to the neighbor’s house, where
a blatant waste of time. What these people don’t see is the true nature and potential for videogames and those who partake in the experiences they have to offer. Videogames provide a person with not only the opportunity to enhance their social and analytical skills, but also offer them the potential for tangential learning. If you’re a gamer you already know how videogames build a person’s social skills. You go home turn on your council of choice for a relaxing game of Call of Duty, Halo, or
