New Orleans Road Trip

I’ve always had a love for traveling. But I think when I really caught the “travel bug” was last summer I took a road trip to New Orleans and then to Austin, Texas. I honestly love long car rides and listening to music and eating fast food for a whole entire day. I remember arriving in New Orleans around 8 PM and the sun was almost gone and the streets are really narrow so there was just enough room for the sun to fit in between the houses. The atmosphere is different. It just made me feel more relaxed and carefree. Even though it was night time it was still really warm and humid. My whole trip in New Orleans revolved around food. Of course I went to the french quarter and the french market. There are so many different and interesting pieces of art and jewelry and pretty much anything you can think of in the quarter. After New Orleans my family and I went on another long car ride to Austin, Texas. Austin is the most beautiful and exciting place I’ve ever been to. There are hundreds of things to do there and I never got bored. It’s also a very healthy city with lots of organic food and many hiking/ biking trails. Food trucks are a big deal down there too. They’re everywhere, in trailer parks, on the side of a road, pretty much every corner you turn, you are face to face with a food truck. There’s a lot of culture there too. A lot of different types of food and music and clothing and art ect. I just absolutely loved learning about the different stories behind all the buildings and art and restaurants. I think that's what makes me want to travel so bad. I love learning about the history of cities and trying different food and experiencing new things.
