As a neurologist I am a medical doctor with specialized training in diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders of the brain and nervous system, including diagnosis of brain tumors. As a professional I act as the primary care provider for patients with chronic neurological problems and as a consultant to other physicians who have clients suspected of having a condition involving the nervous system (Life NPH, n.d.). A neurological examination allows me to effectively diagnose the condition of the patient and suggest appropriate treatment options. I first review the patient's health history with special attention to the current condition.

Who is going to care for our aging population when they are unable to care for themselves? A Certified Nursing Assistant, also referred to as a CNA will. A CNA has many responsibilities in the healthcare field. CNAs are the primary caregivers to residents in long-term care facilities and hospitals. CNAs help residents perform activities of daily living. A few examples of activities of daily living are feeding, bathing, dressing and toileting. With all the responsibilities CNAs have, their job can be stressful. The night shift for CNAs requires getting patients ready for supper and put to bed. Some people may think this is simple, but it is not. On average a CNA is responsible for twelve residents while toileting every resident, assessing their needs, and watching for the other residents call lights, CNAs need to have every resident to supper by six o’clock. Once all residents are at the table for supper, CNAs must give each resident their trays and then feed them. Once they are done feeding the residents, CNAs start taking residents to bed. While giving bedtime care CNAs toilet the resident, wash the resident, brush their teeth, put pajamas on them, and transfer them into bed. While giving night time care CNAs need to listen for the alarms of fall risk residents, answer call lights, and be patient with the resident they are giving care to. CNAs need to give quality care

Since nursing is a well-known job, several job openings are everywhere. In most small cities the job postings are low; however, in large cities job postings are quite high. California 's “average nursing salary for job postings are 7% higher than average nursing salaries for job postings nationwide, with job openings at Kaiser Permanente and Cross Country TravCorps” (Wilson). California ranks eighth in the average salary across the country; however, Mississippi is a close contender with the ranking of ninth. Mississippi 's “average salaries for job postings are 4% higher than the average, nationwide” (Wilson). A person with an interest in nursing should know “Parallon Workforce Solutions and Fresenius Medical Care have job openings in Mississippi” (Wilson). With California having the highest percentage and ranking out of Mississippi, Alabama has the lowest of both Mississippi and California. “Alabama ranks twelfth and is only 1% higher than average salaries for job postings nationwide” (Wilson). Although Alabama has only 1% of job postings nationwide “Baptist Healthcare of Alabama and UAB Medicine have job openings” (Wilson).
I chose a career as a medical assistant because of the rewards I knew I would experience on a daily basis. Seeing a patient smile because I have helped them understand, or just making them feel comfortable with their visit, is just one of the many perks of my job. Upon graduating from an accredited college such as The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP), I now work for one of the most reputable hospitals in my area. People often anticipate their desire to become doctors at a young age. Perhaps this curiosity in the field of medicine is provoked by a natural knack for science or an inclination to help and impact their community. Throughout my life, the wonders of science have always intrigued my inner curious spirit. Although, I never imagined myself in a doctoral position, but after a traumatic head injury I realized that I wanted to help people the way that I was helped and the mind was my ideal focus. With that being said, becoming a physician specializing in neurology is a long, arduous, expensive process that can only be accomplished with great dedication.
Saying that you are a registered nurse is a broad statement. Registered nursing is a job that has many aspects. Registered nurses work in many different settings and they carry out many different routines. As a registered nurse you could be exposed to many different opportunities. As the human body goes through different experiences, the brain grows, develops, and changes according to the environmental situations it has been exposed to. Some of these factors include drugs, stress, hormones, diets, and sensory stimuli. [1] Neuroplasticity can be defined as the ability of the nervous system to respond to natural and abnormal stimuli experienced by the human body. The nervous system then reorganizes the brain’s structure and changes some of its function to theoretically repair itself by forming new neurons. [2] Neuroplasticity can occur during and in response to many different situations that occur throughout life. Some examples of these situations are learning, diseases, and going through therapy after an injury.
Health care would be a great career option for almost anyone because one can help a multitude of different people. Health care includes many well paying jobs and the field is growing rapidly, so job security is promising. Not choosing health careers would be a missed opportunity because there are many promising benefits in the field.
