1. Throughout this activity, one of the main scientific principles can be related to the nervous system and the concept of having a reaction time through different means of stimuli. Individuals interacting with the board are exposed to a light, sound or touch stimulus. When the stimulus is created, there is a signal that is first formed within the peripheral nervous system (PNS). The PNS is consisted of nerves that connect the brain and spinal cord to the muscles of the body, sense organs, glands and other tissues (Widmaier et al, 2014, p. 139). That signal, then progresses to the central nervous system (CNS), which is composed of the brain and spinal cord.
