Exercise can have many effects on the body. A lack of exercise can create several significant health problems, while an abundancy of exercise can ultimately lead to a healthy body. Exercise comes in many different forms that you can choose from. You can walk for about an hour and lose a portion of calories or you can run a couple miles and lose even more calories. If you watch television, you have likely saw one of those exercise commercials with exercise equipment like treadmills, elliptical trainers, and stationary bicycles that you can use. Or instead of using those methods, you can be active in fun ways like playing a sport such as basketball or baseball as well as dancing which all count as exercise. For example, if you think about your favorite athlete, whether the person participates in basketball, baseball, soccer, or cheer, they all must exercise or work out to perform well in their respected sport. Serena Williams and Lebron James both had to work hard to help keep their bodies healthy and looking good while performing at a high level. That means, they exercise at a high level keeping their bodies in peak conditions. For those who are not as energetic or as athletic, exercise is not something to look forward to. For people with an opposite lifestyle of an athlete, the results of exercising are appealing but the actual work is unappealing. Those who choose not to engage in exercise can have unappealing and less attractive bodies. We look at the athletes of our modern day, their bodies are the perfect example of the kind of bodies some people want. We look at them and wish we could look the same but some people just do not try hard enough to push themselves the extra mile to resemble those results. Obesity can lead to bigger issues like diabetes, high blood pressure, and/or heart problems. Age plays an important role in exercise. The older you are, the less physically active people tend to be. A seventy-year-old man will not exercise as much as a seventeen-year-old young man because of the physical capability. Now, if capable, the elderly should exercise but not at a rate of a teenager. Simply walking around your home or to the mailbox can be an elderly person’s daily exercise routine. This small amount of exercise, can help the body of an older person. Sometimes younger people feel as if they are not prone to those health concerns above, but that is not true. Lack of exercise can affect teenagers as well. The conditions may not be as bad or as life changing, but the conditions are concerning nevertheless. Weight is also an issue with exercising. People suffering from being overweight often feel as if all hope is lost. They gave up on exercising if it is not producing the results they want.
