The world today, cell-phone like the android or iphones are being used to relay message back to others and being a device that is similar to having a mobile computer. Even though cellular phones are beneficial, there are conspiracies of harmful usage of the cell phone that can lead to people wondering, is it true or not. Cell-phone are known to cause a higher risk of brain cancer due to the belief that non-ionizing radiation from the radiofrequency of the device(Cell Phones, 1). Even though this was stated to be true, studies have claimed that cell phone can not be proven to be a dangerous device, but people like Dr. Devra Davis, a professor of preventive medicine believes that it is not safe(Landau, 1). For instance, the Interphone Study research from 13 countries published analysis on the use of cell phones tumor being a health issue, but studies have shown no statistically significant increases in central nervous system or brain cancers related to usage of cellular phone usage(Cell Phones, 1). Therefore, even though there was conducted research on cellphone being a health issue, it did not support the fact it creates a higher risk of brain cancer. In addition, “children have the potential to be at greater risk than adults for developing brain cancer from cell phones where their nervous systems are still developing and therefore more vulnerable to factors that may cause cancer(Cell Phones, 1).” They conducted a study that included children diagnosed with brain cancer between 2004 and 2008, of ages ranging from 7 to 19 but researchers found no connection between cell phone use and brain tumor risk in this group of children(Cell Phones, 1). Thus, the claim of children being at a great risk had no actual fact that cell phone is related to the issue of brain cancer. Studies have shown that, “at the highest exposure levels using a mobile phone half an hour a day, over a 10-year period the study found a 40 percent increased risk of glioma brain tumors(Landau, 1).” To contradict, “Krewski and colleagues say that there is not enough evidence to show a causal connection, and the group of participants using their phones this much was relatively small(Landau, 1).” David Reynard, a young man from Florida was convinced that the radiation of the phone from the cellphone manufacturers companies accelerate the brain cancer in his wife(Mukherjee, 1) David Reynard believed that cellphone was the reason her wife, Susan, had brain cancer when making a theory
