Research supports that parental involvement has a great impact on student achievement. It has been proven that when schools, teachers, and parents work together, students perform better academically and socially. In many cases, it doesn’t matter the social status, race, or education of the parents, when participating in their children’s education, it’s a win-win situation. When parents are involved in their children’s education, parents and teachers’ level of expectation is greater. Teachers are known to typically spend most the week days educating students and when parents are involved, it makes this process less challenging.
Three factors influencing the Educational Achievement and Socio-Emotional Functioning of Adolescents
Intellectual attributes and non-intellectual attributes both contribute and facilitate students ‘success (Burger, 2004). Non-cognitive skills are increasingly considered to be as important as cognitive skills and intelligence quotient (IQ) in determining successful performance in various domains including academic achievement and socio-emotional functioning as these skills play affect greatly the transition from adolescence to adulthood (Burger, 2004). The aim of this paper is to explore the relationships and influences of family socio-economic status (SES) and self-control on academic achievement; and introversion on socio-emotional functioning. Adolescence in this paper is considered in its broadest sense, comprising late-primary-school –age to undergraduate college-age populations i.e. approximately 10 to 25 years old.

If a comatose person were to earn an interest of 1 million USD annually on the sum paid to him as compensatory damages – would this be considered an achievement of his? To succeed to earn 1 million USD is universally judged to be an achievement. But to do so while comatose will almost as universally not be counted as one. It would seem that a person has to be both conscious and intelligent to have his achievements qualify.

Their desire to be an entrepreneur is mostly due to in internal factor rather than an external such as money.

Second, there was a talk on entrepreneurship by a guest speaker, Mr. Azmi Ahmad (the CEO of Skali.com) and later, an "elevator speech" by fellow students on various issues related to entrepreneurship. This collective information and some reading on entrepreneurship journals, books and articles have brought to the idea on writing this paper, towards certain perspective, on successful entrepreneurial characteristics.
Entrepreneurship incorporates unconstrained imagination and a readiness to settle on choices without strong information. The entrepreneur may be driven by a need to make something new or assemble something unmistakable. As new ventures have low achievement rates, the business person should have impressive tirelessness. Because of this, the entrepreneur may have the best risk of achievement by concentrating on a business sector corner either too little or too new to have been commanded by built up organizations.
The contribution of entrepreneurial education towards influencing entrepreneurial intention among students had been examined by several scholars and it seems to have inconclusive arguments. In a similar view, the definition of entrepreneurial education, as well as its contents remains vague (***) For example, the definition given by United Kingdom Quality Assurance Agency for Education QAA (2012) sees entrepreneurial education as a way of preparing students through business start-ups. I have made many achievements in my life. I am happy to be such an achiever at things. I remember my first achievement which was in kindergarten. In kindergarten I got on the honor roll for the first time. I was so happy, but I was just happy because my mom was happy. I didn’t even know what honor roll meant, but I finally founded out that is meant that I got all A’s. My mom was so happy for me, and I got lot of money for my A’s. After that my next achievement was that I learn how to ride a bike. When I first started to ride a bike with no training wheels I kept on falling. After I kept falling I didn’t want to learn anymore, but I saw that my little cousin was riding a bike, so I just had to learn how to ride a bike. Finally, after all the sores and burses, I learned how to ride a bike. I still fall every now and then.
The success of a business is greatly dependent on its entrepreneur. An entrepreneur is someone who takes the financial risk of starting and managing a new business venture. In order to be a successful entrepreneur, one must be ready to take a risk and invest one’s own savings into a business. The job requires that the individual be ambitious and committed to working hard in order to achieve the set targets. A successful entrepreneur is able to multi-task and communicates effectively with people, possessing leadership qualities such as confidence and motivation. The individual must play the role of constant motivator and inspire employees to improve their work performance, whilst ensuring a comfortable environment for the employees to work in. According to Schumpeter (1982), an entrepreneur is more of a ‘heroic’ than an ‘economic’ figure; his motivation should not solely be monetary, rather stemming more from inspiration and ambition.
