Shared Emotional Traits in Near-Death Experiences

Did you know that most near death experiences share the same emotional characteristic? Near death experiences do not have to be tragic to have the same qualities. Some experiences can be prevented but others can happen unexpectedly and is out of your control. They have all appeared to have the same changes and similarities. All near death experiences have three things in common; time seems to pass slowly, change in priorities, and the experience seems to be all just a dream. In most near death experiences nearly everyone has had a change in priorities, such as, Tom Benecke, Patrick Daniels, and Brian Ingalls. Before Tom Benecke had experienced his near death experience, his priorities were on getting a job promotion by writing an important paper. After his near death experience, his priorities changed from a job promotion to spending more time with his wife. In Contents of a Dead Man’s Pocket, it said “ There he got out his topcoat and hat and, without waiting to put them on, opened the front door and stepped out, to go find his wife. Some accidents could have been prevented such as, Patrick Daniels. Patrick could have took his time and packed his parachute correctly instead of rushing. Not only could have Patrick prevented his, Brian could have also by stopping the car and getting the wasp out instead of moving into the other seat. Tom Beneckes near death experience was another preventable accident, when he chose to make the dangerous decision to get the paper, he was putting him life at risk and he knew that but did it anyways. Preventable or not preventable, accidents are dangerous and always seem to have the three main characteristics: change in priorities, it all seems to be a dream, and time passes
