Abstract
This is an argumentative essay regarding how nurture affects our development, rather than our nature, which is our genetics we acquire. In this essay I addressed how our environment develops our personality, mental health, and our accent. The essay includes many studies that were done to show how our surroundings help build us. Our environment has been proven that it contributes to our development and is a very important essential.

Although it is very true that we develop from our environment, many people still tend to believe we are already developed at birth through our genetics. However, research has shown that we develop our personality, mental health, and accent from our surroundings. I think more research needs to be done on how we develop from our environment. An idea of some research that could be done is more from families who are different in every aspect and they live unique lives. This would show how much we are really developed from our surroundings. Also, more research could be done on the environment of people who are diagnosed with a mental disorder that interferes with their everyday life versus people who are able to have a fully functional life with a mental disorder. Studies mentioned in the essay has concluded that our surroundings have a huge influence on our development.
