o Nature of self: Zoroastrians believe that each human has a part to play and a duty in enhancing and preserving the purity of human beings by keeping away from evil and avoiding all conceivable interaction and communication with it.

o Nature of afterlife: Zoroastrianism preaches the notion that bereavement is the work of the wicked. The soul is eternal and will be judged immediately once the body dies. By the time of death, the soul must pass over a bridge. At the entrance, stands the daenā, or conscience (a maiden who is identified by the individual soul). The virtuous souls see a lovely and honorable woman, whereas the malevolent souls see a witch. The noble, led by the maiden, will pass over bliss. There, they will serve as protectors of the living good people. The souls of persons who have lived sinful lives will be confronted by a witch and will plummet as demons into the deep dark abyss resembling hell.
