This study sets out to zero in on the works of Sadeq Chuback, Iranian naturalist writer, the late past master in the field of literature and translation studies. Chuback’s works, from rise to his demise, is introduced and the aesthetic and stylistic nature of his writing is scoured in detail. Literarily, discursive practices in his writing will especially be dealt with and ideological and kaleidoscopic panoramas of his writing brought into focus.

In more places the use of animals in the stories of Chubak has allegorical aspect. Mir- Abidiny, H (2004) says about it: ‘‘the story of the baboon, whose buffoon was dead, is a figurative of years of years after 1320 when the dictator was gone. It also gives us the image of what happened during the past years when slavery was practised. The book is significant in the sense that it gives even the current generation the knowledge of slavery, how it happened and the reason for slavery.
In describing the setting, the general locale is the prison in the coldest part of Russia- Siberia, geographically but socially depicting the social circumstances in the prison, but draws analogies to the general social, political and economic circumstances of Russia during the Stalinist era (form 1917 revolution up to 1955). Due to the serious tensions looming in the air, many people would think it is strictly forbidden to laugh a little or have fun in Iran. The constant political instability makes it seem like the citizens live like robots under extreme oppression. However, in Marjane Satrapi’s biography, Persepolis, she gives an inside look at her experiences growing up in Iran and adds comic relief throughout the novel. As the main character, Marjane, evolves from an innocent girl into a mature woman, Satrapi adds bits of comic relief to highlight her typical personality while living in the midst of an oppressive society.

When I first heard Emeli Sandé’s Read all about it, I fell in love. It was a song with intense lyrics and a wonderful piano ballad. Although her song could be interpreted in a lot ways .I felt it described my quiet, timid character perfectly and had a connection with. I listened to it all the time especially when I had a terrible day. To me, Emeli Sandé was trying to encourage me to come out of my shell, overcome my fears and put the world and its troubles behind me. During the last few weeks that I have spent studying Text and Meaning, with the all the literary theories learnt in this course, Read all about it is more than the shy ones breaking out of their shell. This song when viewed through the Marxist and feminist lens speaks a simple truth: there is truly injustice in the world. The world has been divided into two, superior (bourgeois and men) and inferior (proletariat and women). Viewing my favourite song trough these analytical two lenses has not only opened my eyes to see the division and injustice in our world but also, made me realize the relationship between these two lenses. Nevertheless, it still remains my favourite text.
The theory included the phenomenon of enjoying pain and sadism, which is all about finding pleasure in pain. Freud ascertained that the unconscious constitutes of three senses. These senses include the life instinct, the Eros, which initiates skill improvement in an individual and helps them to be better, successful, people. Eros plays a key role in improving an individual’s personality. Another instinct is the sex sense which brings about libido energy to individuals, and bodily pleasures, such as having a meal or having a good conversation. The third instinct is known as Thanatos which is a death instinct. This deals with pushing people towards death. The superego is always alert to subside the pressures of Thanatos, but ultimately the unconscious takes full control (Myers 84). From this brief introduction, this paper is going to explore the psychoanalysis theory of personality, its key components, and its relevancy to the modern culture.
