Approach My group has decided that our sub-theme to the main theme ‘We are the Citizens’ would be about ‘National Service', as national service is one of the unique things that our country Singapore has. My bottle design would be of a SAF NS recruit in No.3 uniform (as shown below). Information (National Service) All Singaporean males who are 18 years old are required to join National Service (Both Citizens and Permanent Residents). They could serve for 22/24 months as Full Time National Servicemen (NSFs) in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Singapore Police Force (SPF), or Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). I notice that it was quite understandable to believe that NS men belong solely in the Army. Well, because of the manpower …show more content…
Sit test is used to assess trainees who have the potential to be posted to command schools (like Specialist Cadet School and Officer Cadet School). Those who are not as medically fit, however, depending their medical condition, may have to go for a Modified BMT or an induction program for recruits with certain medical conditions. There are also possibilities that there are NS men who are medically fit but have failed pre-enlistment National Physical Fitness Award (NAPFA). These men would then have to go for an additional 2-month Physical Training Phase (PTP). How about those who are obese? Well, they also have to go for a special BMT program which lasts for 19 weeks. For those who are chosen to go for police service, they will serve in the SPF as well as undergo training at the Home Team Academy. There, they study the Penal Code and standard police protocol and then they will be posted to other various departments of the SPF (like Special Operations Command, Logistics, Land Divisions, Airport police. But for the Police Coast Guard or Police KINS, they will still undergo further
Cadets train physically, mentally, and socially. During training cadets must do ride alongs with the patrol and work events the patrol is in charge of like the Ohio State Fair. Once cadet graduates training and becomes a trooper they must first work at least 2 years on the highways to switch to a specialty job. This does not include k-9 and investigation there has not been a limit for those jobs but still need to go through training an application process investigation and undercover has a different application process than the cadet application.
There are many requirements to be in the Army National Guard. The National Guard has physical, academic, and legal requirements that you must pass to join. You must first be in good physical shape and not have any major handicaps. The minimum age to join the National Guard is 17 years of age and a high school junior. If you are under the age of 18 you must have your parents consent. If you are not in high school you must have a high school diploma or GED. You must also score a high enough score on the ASVAB test. When you get your score you will be contacted by a recruiter to see what kind of job you want and can get by your score. You must also be a citizen of the United States and if you are an alien then you cannot get a job in the Army that requires a security clearance.
The Guard is a team that values serving others and being the best; a part-time job with full-time benefits. There’s an opportunity to split up Guard training during the summers between school years. Qualified juniors can attend Basic Training during the summer before senior year and then go on to Advanced Individual Training (AIT) after senior year. The Guard will help build mind and body, and in Basic Training challenges will be conquered to become stronger, faster, and healthier. Overcoming the physical and mental challenges will instill a growing sense of pride.

You have to train so that they know you qualify for the job. You have to be in shape and know how to act in different situations. The agents receive classroom and Web-based instruction in subjects including law, investigative practices, forensics, behavioral science, and ethics. To get an experience of what it will be like, they will have you practice and act out common scenarios. The trainees will conduct a mock-investigation where they will interview suspects, find evidence, and provide testimony in court. The new agents will also receive proper training in firearms, defensive techniques, working undercover, tactical driving, and
When it comes to combat assignments and the needs of the military, men take precedence over all other considerations, including career prospects of female service members. Female military members have been encouraged to pursue opportunities and career enhancement within the armed forces, which limit them only to the needs and good of the service due to women being not as “similarly situated” as their male counterparts when it comes to strength or aggressiveness, and are not able to handle combat situations.
Being a military member in the armed forces across all branches will have a positive and negative impact in both personal and professional areas of life. All military members take the oath of enlistment before they join it is a requirement before attending basic training. What most service members do not realize is that they are completely oblivious to the road that lies ahead of them. Most people join the military for a number a personal reason such as money, education, and a sense of stability. Others may join the military in hopes of being a part of something greater than themselves, they may see it as a chance to serve their country. No matter what drives one to join the armed forces it is safe to say that they will encounter both good
Some don't get what they want in life by being a nurse. They want to fight for their country, and be as equal as men. In training woman work just as hard, if not much more, than men. Some people are physically not made for this job, but not only woman. In order for woman to be as equal to a man she just has to work harder in pre training and in everything physically. If a woman is not up for the challenge to be a strong and productive as she possible can, then she will not sign up for the service. A Sargent wouldn't allow someone to be put into combat who wasn't ready. If a woman works and goes through training as she is required to, then comes out of it in the physical shape she is supposed to, then she has earned her rightful spot in combat.
Physical training where is especially challenging because we had members of seal team four training with us to get there’s they had just graduated from there SEAL school and could run five minute miles all day and night even though I was in good shape is still kick my butt. The normal pace for running at any Army school is a 6 ½ minute mile.
Living near a large military base I constantly hear high school students stating that aft...
In the police the special constabulary are the volunteer force they have the same training as the police and the same powers they just can't go in the helicopters or with the armed response teams. but they can still arrest people. they come from all walks of life like teachers, taxi drivers, shop owners. they also save a lot of money for the police because they don't get paid so they are out on the street helping to prevent crime just like an ordinary officer who gets paid. the time you must give up between 8-12 hours a week.
...utions. However, good NCOs do exist and without their efforts and dedication, the United States Army would not be the most powerful fighting force that it is today.
This paper will show four different police departments that are currently hiring or recruiting for police officers.
