English, it’s one of those required general education courses that we are required to take if we want to graduate. ENC1143 Rhetoric and Narrative is one of those classes. Some would have picked it on their own; I am not one of those people though. English is not one of the most enjoyable subjects for me, mainly because it is not one of my stronger subjects. After trying several times to get out of taking this course, this being my fourth English class because I transferred from another university that required other English courses I still had to take it. The trend in my group was that everyone was acknowledging all of the good things about each persons writing but not really giving any criticism that each piece of writing could improve on. Looking back at some of the comments on my Summary two, they went into depth about some of the things they liked about it but gave very brief information on what could be improved. My comments that I commented on some of my peer’s summaries were also that way where I gave more positive feedback then negative feedback for improvement. As the semester went on and peers got more comfortable with giving peer criticism realizing that it was a very helpful tool the comments started giving more comments for improvement instead of just focusing on what they liked about the summaries. Which in turn even though as we got more in depth in the course work and our writing was supposed to improve, the peer comments for criticism improved as well helping improve our grades for final
