The story of the search Every night we experience them. They have the power to make us feel happy, sad or even terrified. They are dreams. But what really are dreams? I chose to research dreams because we all experience them and I realized just how little I knew about them even though I dream every night. I walk to school and on days when my friend isn’t walking with me my mind tends to wander so of course I eventually landed on dreams. I made some conclusions myself but wanted to be sure so when the opportunity to research it for a project arose I took it. Prior to research, most of what I knew, or thought I knew were fun facts and tidbits I’d heard along the way or concluded myself. I knew that dreams are experiences that happen in the unconscious mind. I thought you dream every night but depending on REM cycles you may remember most, some of none of your dreams. Dreams often contain our fears, desires and unchecked emotions. I had concluded more on my own that familiar places look completely different but somehow you know where you are. It was called What Ae Dreams? and for some reason the video was backwards but I used the concept of Leonardo da vinci's mirror writing (were he wrote backwards so none could read his notes over his shoulder) to set up my iPad up so I could watch its reflection and it would be the right way. The documentary was close to an hour and probably my most informative source. I filled all of my remaining note cards and had to double up some information on other cards when I ran out.
