Napoleon Bonaparte was a world-renowned military leader with a new technique for war. While reigning, he conquered many empires with his new battle techniques. They were the reason for him becoming an idolized French figure. Napoleon Bonaparte was born in Ajaccio, Corsica on August 15, 1769 to Carlo Buonaparte and Letizia Ramolino. As a young boy, Napoleon and his family moved to France because Corsica was being invaded. Carlo Buonaparte was able to secure a scholarship for Napoleon at a prestigious military school in Brienne, France. While in school, Napoleon was a lonely boy full of pride. He spoke little French and was ignored by most of the other students. Even so, he graduated with excellence and went on to join the French army. Napoleon fought in the later stages of the French Revolution. He rose to eminence during this period and became a hero in the eyes of the French.
